Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an operation by a machine tool and to reduce the cost of production by fashioning a rubber mold from a product model made of a wooden pattern, etc., pouring a low melting metal, etc., into such mold to form a casting model and producing a metallic mold consisting of a low melting alloy from such casting model. CONSTITUTION:The product model 1 which is fashioned of the wooden pattern, plastic, etc., and is attached with a runner bar 3 at one end is first fixed to the center in the space part of a flask body 2 and rubber 5 is poured into the space of the flask body 2 in the 1st stage. The model is taken out of the body 2 upon solidification of the rubber 5 and is incised to the top and bottom. The product model 1 is taken out and the rubber mold 8 is thus formed. The low melting packing material 9 which is plastic or low melting metal is poured into such rubber mold 8 to form a model 11 for casting in the 2nd stage. A female metallic mold and male metallic mold are formed of a low melting alloy by using the model 11 in the 3rd stage. The metallic mold is thus easily produced without the stage using the machine tool.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, the molds manufactured using machine tools such as lathes and ball M, as described above, do not undergo any design changes during the transition from prototype to final product. There is no problem if it can be used as is, but manufacturing molds is quite expensive, so if there is a design change to the prototype, a new mold must be manufactured, and this can be costly. The problem was that the molds used up to that point were completely wasted, and the economic loss was immeasurable.

The third step is the casting model 1 obtained by the above steps.
1 is filled with a shape-retaining filler 12 such as plaster or clay (Fig. 7), and after the shape-retaining filler 12 has hardened, the casting model 11 is placed in the center of the female formwork 13. (FIG. 8), the upper mold for pouring 14 is placed on top of the female mold 13, the female mold 13 is set in the casting machine, and the sprue 15 of the upper mold for pouring 14 is set. 1)) whose melting point is 200°C or less, tin, antimony, cadmium,

After waiting for the assimilation of the low alloy metal 16, the upper mold for pouring 14 is removed, the filler for retaining the shape 12 is removed, and the casting model 11 is released from the female mold 13. , apply a mold release agent to the surface of the VR horse production model 11 and the shape-retaining filler 12 (Fig. 10),
Then, the male formwork 17 is placed on top of the female formwork 13, and the upper formwork 18 for pouring is placed on top of the male formwork 17, and the same as the platform for the female formwork 13 is set on the H-building machine and poured. The low alloy alloy 16 is poured into the sprue 19 of the upper formwork 18 and pressure is applied (

(Effects of the Invention) Since the method of the present invention is as described above, it is possible to extremely easily manufacture a mold from a wooden mold or a product model without going through a process using a machine tool such as a lathe or drill press. The manufacturing cost is low, so it is ideal as a mold for prototypes molded from plastic or refractory metal in quantities of about 100, and in some cases it can be used as a semi-industrial mold for products that do not require precision. However, after being used as a mold, the mold is made of a low-fusion metal, so it can be melted and reused, and the casting model is made of a low-fusion metal, allowing for shrinkage, and using the expansion action of the rubber mold. Since the product is made larger than the product model, the product molded by the mold shrinks when cooled, resulting in a product with dimensions close to the product model.
