Conventional ceiling ventilation fans have an exhaust port on the side of the outer box and are connected to an exhaust pipe behind the ceiling, thereby discharging indoor air to the outside through the ventilation fan and exhaust pipe. Ta. However, with this type of fan, first insert the outer box of the ventilation fan into the opening in the ceiling and attach it to the ceiling from the indoor side, then connect the exhaust pipe to the exhaust port of the outer box of the ventilation fan, and seal the connection part in the ceiling. In general, the installation and removal work was troublesome, and maintenance and inspection were also difficult. This work is becoming increasingly difficult, especially in the current state of housing construction where the space (height) behind the ceiling has become extremely narrow as a recent trend in housing design.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes an outer box, which is composed of a casing having an opening on the bottom surface, and is also used as a fan case for a fan device 2 provided inside the casing, and has an airtight structure corresponding to fan performance. 3 is an exhaust port formed on one side of the top of the outer box 1 (on the right side in the figure) with a diameter sufficiently larger than the outer diameter of an exhaust pipe to be described later, and around this is a screw hole 1a for mounting the connecting member 4. (shown in FIG. 2) are formed in plurality, and a cord wire insertion opening 5 is formed near the center of the concentric portion. In addition, a plurality of L-shaped cross-sectional metal fittings are fixed by welding or the like to the inside of the lower opening portion of the outer box 1 to form a lid mounting portion 6, and further, an outer intermediate portion of the corresponding side wall of the outer box 1 is formed. A long metal fitting having an L-shaped cross section is similarly fixed by welding or the like to form a mounting portion 7 for mounting the ventilation fan. The fan device 2 is composed of a motor 8 and a fan 9, and the motor 8 is attached to the outer box 1 via a motor stand 10 fixed in the outer box 1 at a distance from the exhaust port 3. Fan 9 is motor 8
is directly connected to the axis of Reference numeral 11 denotes a motor lead wire, the tip of which is connected to a terminal block 12 provided on the inner wall of the top of the outer box 1. A connecting member 4 is fixed to the exhaust port 3 from the inside of the outer box 1 with a holding plate 13 interposed therebetween and a mounting screw 14. As shown in FIG. 2, the connecting member 4 is made of an elastic material, and a base portion 4a forming a mounting surface for the outer box 1 is annular and has a plurality of mounting holes 4b having a diameter larger than that of the mounting screws 14. The funnel-shaped body portion 4c formed continuously from the base portion 4a becomes smaller in diameter toward the tip (downward in FIG. 2), and the inner diameter of the tip is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the exhaust pipe, which will be described later. The holding plate 13 is annular and has a mounting hole 4b for the connecting member 4.
A plurality of mounting holes 13a are formed. Reference numeral 15 shown in FIG. 1 is a lid body that covers the lower surface of the outer box 1, and has an intake port 16 at a portion corresponding to the fan device 2.
The cover mounting portion 6 of the outer box 1 is airtightly and removably mounted. Reference numeral 19 denotes a decorative frame that covers the lid 15, and is detachably attached to a boss 15a integrally formed on the lid 15 with screws 20. 21 is an opening formed in the ceiling corresponding to the outer shape of the outer box 1, 22 is the ceiling, 23 is a beam, 24 is a mounting screw, 25 is an exhaust pipe installed in the ceiling, and the end is the exhaust port 3. It has a hanging opening pointing vertically downward so that it can be inserted into the ventilation fan, and is set to have a length that slightly protrudes from the tip of the body portion 4c of the connecting member 4 when the ventilation fan is installed.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. As explained above, by the time the ventilation fan is installed, the installation and wiring work of the pipes in the ceiling, that is, the exhaust pipe 25, has already been completed. Prior to installing the ventilation fan, the decorative frame 19 and the lid 15 are removed. First, a power cord (not shown) is drawn into the outer box 1 through the cord insertion hole 5, and while the exhaust pipe 25 is inserted into the exhaust port 3, the outer box 1 is inserted into the opening 21 in the ceiling, and then installed. It is attached to the ceiling 22 or beam 23 via the part 7 with the attachment screw 24. After that, connect the power cord to the terminal block 12. Next, as shown in FIG.
c is inserted into the exhaust pipe 25, and further pushed in while expanding the tip of the body 4c until the base 4a and the outer box 1 come into contact. Next, the mounting screw hole 1a and the mounting hole 4b are aligned. Next, as shown in FIG.
Hold down the entire surface of the base 4a of the connecting member 4, and tighten the screw 1.
4 to fix it to the outer box 1. Next, the installation work of the ventilation fan is completed by attaching the cover body 15 and decorative frame 19 that were removed earlier. Since the mounting screw 14 and the mounting hole 4b of the connecting member 4 are loosely fitted, the slight eccentricity between the exhaust port 3 and the exhaust pipe 25 can be adjusted. Further, since the body portion 4c of the connecting member 4 is inserted into the exhaust pipe 25 in an expanded state, the connecting member can be airtightly connected by the tension force of the elastic body without using a special sealing material. In addition, when performing maintenance and inspection, it is sufficient to carry out the steps in the reverse order to the above.

According to the above embodiment, the piping work and wiring work behind the ceiling and the installation work of the ventilation fan can be carried out in separate processes, so the construction period can be shortened, and the connection between the exhaust pipe and the ventilation fan can be done from the inside of the room. Since it can be done easily and at the same time, it is possible to reduce the amount of difficult construction work required in the attic.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a bellows portion 4d is formed on the body portion 4c of the connecting member 4 near the base portion 4a. Therefore, the function of adjusting the position of the distal end of the body portion 4c in the horizontal and vertical directions is significantly increased due to the action of the bellows. Therefore, even if the outer box 1 is inserted into the ceiling opening 21 with the connecting member 4 attached to the outer box 1 together with the presser plate 13 in advance with the screws 14, the exhaust pipe 25 will not follow the inner slope of the body 4c of the connecting member 4. Since the ventilation fan is inserted into the outer box 1, the installation of the ventilation fan and the connection work with the exhaust pipe 25 are further simplified.

As described above, the present invention is equipped with a fan device on the top of the outer box and an exhaust port separated from the fan device, so that when the ventilation fan is installed from the inside of the room, it is directed vertically downward to the ceiling. The provided exhaust pipe is inserted into the exhaust port, and the exhaust port and the exhaust pipe are connected from the inside of the outer box with a substantially funnel-shaped connecting member made of an elastic material. To provide a ceiling ventilation fan in which the installation work and the connection work between the exhaust port and the exhaust pipe can be performed simultaneously and easily from the indoor side, and which is convenient for maintenance and inspection.
