Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the recording and reproducing levels of a magnetic head for magnetic disk larger, by providing a magnetic head gap at a position which is surely contacted with a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head gap 5 is not provided at the center of a face which is contacted with an slid on a video floppy disk 1, but on the right-side outer periphery section of the floppy 1 as shown in the figure. Therefore, even when the projected quantity of a magnetic head 4 is enlarged and the central part of the sliding face of the magnetic head 4 is separated from the video floppy 1, the part of the magnetic head gap 5 is surely contacted with the floppy 1. The optimum value of the distance (l) from the center of the sliding face to the magnetic head gap 5 varies depending upon the curvature of the sliding face, projected quantity of the magnetic head, material of the video floppy 1, etc., but the variation is not large since the above-mentioned items are decided by a unified standard format. The change in the optimum value of the distance (l) is, for example, about 30mum.

したヘッドタッチが得られず良好な記録再生とならない
。そこで、ビデオフロッピーを間に挾んで磁気ヘッドと
対向する規整板を配置するのが一般的である。

生レベルが低下することとなる。

て最適な値は、磁気ヘッドの摺動面曲率、突出量、ビデ
オフロッピー1の材質等によって変わるが、これらは統
一規格フォーマットにより決定されているため、大幅に
変わるものでなく、例えば第3図に示されるように約3
0μm程度である。第3図は、磁気ヘッド摺動面曲率R
さ5順の場合について、相対出力レベルを測定したもの
である。第3図に示すように、ヘッド摺動面中央から磁
気へ7ドギヤツプまでの長さ−が約30μmとなるとこ
ろで、相対出力レベルが最大となっている。
