In the conventional method that followed the traditional method, this lining was done using washi paper and starch paste, but this conventional method had the following problems.

In other words, in the conventional method of applying water-soluble glue to Japanese paper with a brush and pasting it to the back of the object to be covered, the backing paper and the object to be bonded to each other have different thicknesses and properties. Therefore, in order to bond them together without warping after drying, it is necessary to slightly change the concentration of the glue used for each adhesive part, and it is necessary to apply the glue to the back side of the washi paper. However, there is a requirement that the lining must be applied evenly and without any unevenness, so this work of lining the surface to be covered requires great skill, and it is not recommended that it be done by a cram school instructor. It also required careful attention and was extremely time-consuming. In addition, with this conventional method, not only could the next step not be started until the bonded area was sufficiently dry, but it also required long hours of drying in the shade to prevent warping. Therefore, it took a very long time to finish one mounting, and efficiency was poor.

In order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, this invention can be used for lining work on objects to be mounted, so that even unskilled people can perform the lining work easily and efficiently, and the finished mounting The purpose of this paper is to provide a new backing paper for mounting that can be finished neatly.
In particular, a thin layer of adhesive made by using a high viscosity EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate high polymer) resin as a base agent and adding an appropriate amount of tackifier (natural rosin or synthetic rosin such as Matsuya 2) to this is welded. This is a backing paper for mounting, which is characterized by:

By the way, when lining this type of object to be covered, it is necessary that the glue or adhesive for bonding the object to be covered and the backing paper does not seep into the object to be covered, and therefore the above-mentioned When a hot-melt adhesive is used, the viscosity of the adhesive when melted poses a problem. In other words, if the viscosity during melting is too low, the molten adhesive will seep onto the surface of the object to be mounted and stain it.

Furthermore, this type of surfaced object should be well preserved for a long period of time, and for this purpose it is necessary to replace the backing paper at an appropriate time. In this case, since the viscosity of the adhesive is low when melted, if the adhesive penetrates into the fibers or tissues that make up the object to be mounted, it becomes difficult to peel off the backing paper, and the backing paper becomes difficult to peel off. This may cause damage to the object to be covered when re-sticking. Therefore, it is suitable that the adhesive has a high viscosity and does not easily penetrate into the object to be mounted.

On the other hand, when using a hot-melt adhesive as described above, it is desirable that the adhesive melts at a relatively low temperature (for example, 130° C. or lower) and exhibits the required adhesiveness in terms of workability. In other words, when an adhesive with a high melting point is used, not only is a large-scale heating device required, but there are also problems such as deterioration of safety and working conditions, and the high temperature heating There is a risk that the object to be mounted may be deteriorated.

Therefore, suitable heat-melting adhesives for use in this type of backing paper are those that can be melted at a relatively low temperature to provide the required adhesive properties and have a high viscosity when melted. However, the two properties of low melting point and high viscosity are generally contradictory properties, and the reality is that no adhesive has hitherto been found that satisfies both of these properties at the same time.

This invention was developed in view of the above circumstances, and as a result of many years of test and research, we have developed a heat-melt adhesive for bonding this type of backing paper based on high-viscosity EVA resin as described above. They found that an adhesive made by adding an appropriate amount of tackifier to this adhesive was optimal, and created a backing paper by welding a thin layer of this adhesive to Japanese paper for backing. In other words, the hot-melt adhesive used in the present invention maintains a high viscosity when melted by using the above-mentioned high-viscosity EVA resin as a base agent, so that it does not penetrate into the fibers or tissues of the surface to be coated. Because it does not ooze out onto the surface and contains a suitable amount of tackifier, which has the property of increasing tackiness, it exhibits good adhesion even at relatively low temperatures.

The preferred melting temperature range of the adhesive is 90 to 130°C.
Within this range, the composition ratio of the high viscosity EVA resin, the amount of tackifier added, etc. are selected so that relatively high viscosity and good adhesiveness can be obtained. Also, the coating thickness of the adhesive on Japanese paper is 0.01

The heat-melting adhesive constituting the adhesive layer 2 is made by adding an appropriate amount of tackifier to a high-viscosity EVA resin as a base agent. Then, using a known coating means such as a roller coater, it is applied thinly and evenly onto one side of the Japanese paper 1 without oozing out to the other side.

Since the lining paper 3 according to this invention has the above-mentioned configuration, it can be used for lining the front cover in the following manner. That is, when lining with the lining paper 3 of this invention, first cut it to match the size of the object to be covered 4 such as paper or torn fabric to be pasted together, and then cut the lining paper 3 into pieces. The back side, that is, the side on which the adhesive layer 2 has been applied, should face down and be accurately stacked on top of the object to be mounted 4, which is placed with the back side up on the board surface, and there should be no wrinkles or the like. After confirming that, hot pressure is applied to the backing paper 3 using an iron or a hot press. If you do so, the backing paper 3 of this idea
Since the adhesive layer 2 made of a heat-melting adhesive is already welded to the back surface of the Japanese paper 1, this melts and the Japanese paper 1 is instantly welded to the back surface of the object to be covered. In that case, the heat-melting adhesive forming the adhesive layer 2 is based on a high-viscosity EVA resin, and has a melting temperature in the range of 90 to 130°C, which is suitable for this type of adhesive. Since the viscosity is relatively high when melted with It is easy to replace the paper, and there is no chance that the object to be covered 4 will be damaged during the replacement work. In addition, this adhesive has a suitable amount of tackifier added, and due to the property of the tackifier showing strong tackiness when heated, it is also good even when the adhesive is melted at a relatively low temperature as mentioned above. Therefore, there is no problem such as deterioration of the material to be covered 4 or harsh working conditions, such as when the material to be covered 4 has to be heated to high temperature during backing. It is.

In addition, if the size of the object 4 to be lined has enough space, as shown in FIG.
Cut it to be slightly larger than the object to be mounted.
If it is lined in the same manner as above, and then the part of the lining paper 3 protruding from the object 4 is cut off along with the periphery of the object 4, the surface to be lined can be lined more neatly and accurately. can be lined over the entire surface.

In any case, with the backing paper for mounting of this invention, adhesion to the backing surface is not done with a wet adhesive such as water-soluble glue, but rather with a pre-coating on the back side of the washi paper as described above. Since the lining is made using a heat-meltable adhesive layer, even an unskilled person can easily perform the lining using an iron (or hot press machine, etc.). When lining the main paper, cover paper, or torn material with this material, there is no possibility of swelling between the lining paper and the material due to water wetting, as in the case of the conventional method using water glue. Since there is no warping during drying due to differences in laydown rate, this also has the advantage that no skill is required for the lining work. Since there is no need for the drying process that is required when using glue, the efficiency of this type of lining work can be greatly improved.Furthermore, since the base agent of the adhesive is a petrochemical product, A cover made using the backing paper of this invention also has the advantage of not being susceptible to mold or insect infestation caused by the backing glue.
