部と入出力接続部がともに前面に設けられた前面
入出力接続形式のものとの2種類に大別される。
このような形式の制御装置は、それぞれ制御パネ
ル等の設計仕様により選択して使用されるが、制
御パネル等の完成後に設計仕様の変更があると、
制御装置の取付け形式の変更が困難なことから設
計仕様の変更を制限されるという欠点を含んでい
た。また製造上においても、2種類の制御装置を
製造、在庫することは非常に不経済である。

装置1および第2の制御装置2の前面両側あるい
は背面両側に取付け取外しが自由にできるように

ネル等に前面取付けまたは背面取付けのいずれか
を選択して取付けられるように構成したことを特
徴とする制御装置。
