Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the temperature at a bearing part by providing a cooling duct which contains both a cooling blade installed on a motor shaft on the opposite side of a casing and a motor and which possesses one opening end on the casing side while the other opening end on the cooling blade side. CONSTITUTION:A blade 15 is accommodated in a freely rotatable manner in a casing 13 that is supported by a stay 11 fixed to a side surface of a case 1. A cooling blade 12 is fixed to a motor shaft 4 situated on the opposite side of a casing 13. In addition, a cooling duct 7 is provided which contains a motor 17 via a spacer 8 and which possesses an opening part 9 on the casing 13 side, while an inlet part 10 on the cooling blade 12 side. With this contrivance, the air at the inlet part 10 of the cooling duct 7 is sucked in by the rotation of the cooling blade 12, thereby cooling off both motor 17 and bearing part 5.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventionally, the bearing of a combustion fan is held by guides 26 fixed to both ends of a case 21 of a motor 33, as shown in FIG. Inside the bearing 25, there is a blade 3 at one end.
2 is fixed to the motor shaft 24, and the rotor 23 is fixed to the other end.
is held rotatably. During operation, the combustion fan sucks in combustion exhaust gas from the water heater through the intake port 30 and exhausts it through the outlet 31. A cooling vane 28 is provided in the middle of the motor shaft 24, but if the ambient temperature around the motor 33 is too high, even if the cooling vane 28 cools the motor 33, the cooling effect of the motor 33 will not be sufficient and the bearing 25 will becomes high temperature.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above configuration, the bearing 26 of the motor 33 becomes high temperature, so the lubricant such as oil or grease inside the bearing 25 hardens and becomes particles due to the high temperature of approximately 90°C or higher. This caused major problems such as the bearing's lubrication becoming insufficient, producing abnormal noises, and eventually seizing up and stopping it from rotating.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above problems, the combustion fan of the present invention has the following features:
A motor shaft having a blade fixed to one end, a casing rotatably housing the blade, a motor driving the motor shaft, a stay fixing the casing, and a stay fixed on the motor shaft on the opposite side to the casing. A cooling duct is provided that encloses a cooling vane, the motor, and the cooling vane, has one end of an opening on the casing side, and has the other opening on the cooling vane side.

When the motor 17 rotates, the blades 15 rotate within the casing 13, sucking in the exhaust gas from the water heater through the suction port 14 of the casing 13, and exhausting it into the atmosphere through the outlet 16. At this time, the cooling vane 12 fixed to the motor shaft 4 rotates and sucks air from the inlet 10 of the cooling gutter 7 to drive the motor 1.
7 is cooled and discharged from the opening 9. The inlet section 10 is provided in a low temperature section of the water heater in order to enhance the cooling effect of the motor 17. Therefore, the temperature rise of the motor 17 is reduced and the temperature of the bearing 5 is significantly reduced.

Effects of the Invention As described above, in the present invention, since the cooling duct sucks low-temperature air to cool the enclosed motor, the temperature of the bearing portion is significantly reduced. Therefore, the life of lubricants such as oil and grease in the bearings is extended, and the reliability of the combustion fan is significantly improved.
