Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled coating material capable of reducing the weight without wholly deteriorating the chipping resistance, by replacing the half or less of the amount of a filler component in a vinyl chloride plastisol based chipping-resistant coating material with a hollow filler. CONSTITUTION:A lightweight chipping-resistant coating material obtained by replacing 1-50wt% filler component, e.g. talc, calcium carbonate, mica, silica or titanium oxide, of a vinyl chloride plastisol based chipping-resistant coating material with a hollow filler.

空状の充填材を塩ビゾル系の耐チッピング塗料中で使用
する充填材成分のうち1〜50重量%、好ましくは3〜
30重量%を置き換えることにより意外にも上記問題点
をことごとく解決する優れた耐チッピング塗料となるこ
とを発見した。

ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン等のホモポリマー、塩化ビ
ニル、酢酸ビニル、塩化ビニリデン等よりなる共重合体
の使用が好ホしい6可塑材としては、7タル酸エステル
、三塩基性酸エステル、燐酸エステル、ポリエステル系
可塑剤などを使用し、特にはDOPの使用が好ま1−い

ては、エアレススプレーのみならずハケによっても差し
支乏なく、そのような場合にあっては中空状充填材の強
度は殆ど2!I′慮する必要はない。
