Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute easily working and to realize a low cost a head which is not inferior in respect of its performance by providing in front an erasing head having a track width of one track pitch, and placing a recording and reproducing head whose width is narrower than said width, at a rear side. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head is constituted of an erasing head A and a recording and reproducing head B, the erasing head A is placed in front with respect to a medium running direction, and its track width is set so as to correspond to about one track pitch. Also, the recording and reproducing head B is set so that its width is narrower than that of the head A, and placed at the rear side. Accordingly, when rewriting a data, it is written by the head B after erasing completely the previous information by the erasing head A, therefore, a residual noise can be eliminated entirely. Also, three cores are not combined as before, and working of a wide width is executed, therefore, working can be executed easily. According, the head which is not inferior in respect of its performance can be formed at a low cost.

ディスク装置を提供せんとするものである。

に組合せるものであるが、三つのコアを作る為に製造コ
ストが高く、特に高密度化にともなう狭トラックのヘッ
ドコアを作ることは歩留シが悪く、コストアップとなる
ものであった。

る構成要素としたものである。
