PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a combustion cylinder and a fire tray unit and prevent generation of abnormal combustion by a method wherein an engaging part, engaging with the lower end of a combustion cylinder, is provided at the fire tray unit of a wicking type liquid fuel combustion device. CONSTITUTION:A wick 11 is ascend and descend by pinching of the fire tray unit 12. The engaging part 13, constituted with U-shape groove, is provided at the fire tray unit 12. The lower end of the combustion cylinder 15 having many holes 14 is engaged with the above mentioned U-shape groove and the combustion cylinder 15 is accommodated into the outer cylinder 16. The combustion cylinder 15 is heated and the end thereof is apt to crook by stress of heat, upon combustion, however, the crookness is prevented by a guide of the engaging part 13 and the engaging part has no clearance between the fire tray 12, therefore, the abnormal combustion due to flowing of excess air through the clearance may be prevented.
