Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable memory function by using a solar battery to charge a chargeable battery and therefore backing up a memory circuit even in an OFF mode of a camera power supply. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery 10 is provided together with a chargeable battery 11. The camera power supply +B is applied to the battery 11 via a resistance 11a as well as to a memory circuit 5. Thus a voltage is supplied to the circuit 5 via a diode 9 in a ON mode of the power supply +B. At the same time, the battery 11 is also charged. Then the battery 11 starts discharging to the circuit 5 when the power supply +B is cut off. At the same time, the battery 10 charges the battery 11 for back-up of a memory function.

Conventional configuration and its problems FIG. 1 shows a memory backup circuit device in a conventional video camera. In Figure 1, 1.2 is the resistance,
3 transistors, 4 a button battery, 5 a memory circuit, and 6 a backflow prevention diode. First, transistor 3 is used for switching and the camera power supply (10B)
When it is on, the transistor 3 is turned off and voltage is supplied to the memory circuit 6 by the camera power supply. When the camera power is cut off, the transistor 3 is turned on and voltage is supplied to the memory circuit 5 by the button battery 4. Therefore, the memory circuit 5 maintains its memory function using the button battery 4 even after the camera power is turned off.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In Fig. 2, 7 to 9 are backflow prevention diodes (hereinafter referred to as diodes), 10 is a solar cell, 11 is a rechargeable battery, and 112L is a resistor for applying the camera power voltage to the rechargeable battery 11. , one end of which is connected to the diodes 8 and 9 and the input end of the memory circuit 6, and a resistor 11
The other end of Δ is connected to diode 7, diode 8, and rechargeable battery 11. In each figure, the same members are given the same numbers.

It can also be incorporated into the camera body (not shown) including the electronic viewfinder. : The rechargeable battery 11 is also charged by the solar battery 10. Since the voltage of the solar cell 10 and the rechargeable battery 11 is approximately 3 volts, the voltage of these batteries is not utilized by the diode 8 when the camera is powered on.

When the camera power is turned off, the aforementioned rechargeable battery 11 starts discharging along with the memory circuit. At the same time, the solar cell 1o also charges the rechargeable battery 11 and supplies voltage to the memory circuit 5 to bank up the memory function. Therefore, the memory function is backed up even after the camera power is turned off. Incidentally, FIG. 3 shows a case where a large-capacity charging condenser 12 is used instead of the rechargeable battery 11, and the same result as in FIG. 2 is obtained. FIG. 4 shows another embodiment in which a rechargeable battery 11 and a memory backup charging capacitor 12 are used together, and the solar cell 10 shown in FIG.
Diodes 13 and 14 are connected in series between the diodes 13 and the memory circuit 5, one end of the charging capacitor 12 is connected to this connection point, and the other end is grounded (-7). Even after the camera power is turned off, the memory function of the memory circuit 5 is backed up by the voltage applied from the solar cell 10, the rechargeable battery 11, or the memory bank-up rechargeable capacitor 12.
