Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the equipment and to attain ease of adjustment and low cost of equipment by providing a changeover swtich outputting a transmission signal to either a power amplifier section in the inside of the portable radio equipment or a transmission signal output terminal to the portable radio equipment and providing the power amplifier section amplifying the transmission signal and a reception signal output terminal to a booster. CONSTITUTION:The transmission signal output terminal 16 of the portable radio equip ment 20 and the input terminal 17 of the booster 21 are connected and further an antenna input/output terminal 6 and the output terminal 18 are connected. Further, signal lines 1a and 15b are connected by operating a changeover switch 15. When a transmission signal is inputted from a high frequency input terminal 1 in this state, the transmission signal is transmitted from the changeover switch 15 to the transmis sion signal output terminal 16 and inputted to a power amplifier section 9 through the input terminal 17. Then power amplification is attained by a high amplification factor and the result is fed to the antenna input/output terminal 12 through a common unit 10. On the other hand, when a reception signal is inputted to the antenna input/ output terminal 12, the signal is amplified by an RF amplifier 11 through the common unit 10 and fed to the output terminal 18.

However, according to the prior art described in -F, when attempting to amplify the power by inputting the transmission signal output from the radio device 13 as it is to the booster 14, the level is higher than necessary because it has already been amplified by the power amplifying section 3. may be input to the power amplifying section 9, and if this occurs, an attenuator or the like must be inserted on the input side of the booster 14. Further, according to the conventional configuration, the circulator 8 is indispensable and becomes a bottleneck in cost reduction. Moreover, the circulator 8 needs impedance matching with the circuits before and after it, and if matching cannot be achieved, the amount of isolation between transmission and reception will be reduced. Note that if a duplexer is used in place of the circulator 8, the problem of impedance matching can be solved, but since a duplexer is more expensive than a circulator, it is difficult to adopt it in terms of cost performance.
