Abstract

PURPOSE:To release a floppy disk from an attracted condition so as to eliminate the necessity of the loading and unloading device of a magnetic head and miniaturize a magnetic disk driving device, by providing a play to the power transmitting system between a driving motor and magnetic disk and rotating the driving motor in the normal direction after rotating it in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:A play of an angle of about 30 deg. exists between a drive hole 5 and drive pin 9 in the rotating direction. When a driving signal is given to a terminal 17 or a normally rotating signal, for example, 'H' is given to another terminal 18, a motor driving circuit 16 rotates a motor 7 in the normal direction. When a reversely rotating signal 'L' is given, the circuit 16 rotates the motor 7 in the reverse direction. When the rotation is shifted from reverse to normal even if magnetic heads 13 and 14 are attracted by a floppy disk 1, the rotating speed of the disk 1 is increased and the drive pin 9 gives such an impact as is received when beaten with a hammer to the disk 1, since no load is applied until the pin 9 hits the drive hole 5. Therefore, the disk 1 can be released from the attracted condition.
