Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent printed density from being lowered, by a construction wherein a single ink mist passage is provided in proximity to the surface of an ink solution, and an air outlet port is so set that air flows into the ink mist passage through an ink mist generator or the vicinity thereof. CONSTITUTION:An intake part 18b of a mist distributor 18 is protruded into the interior of the mist generator 17, leaving a gap between the part 18b and a peripheral wall 17a of the mist generator 17 so that air can pass therethrough. Air is fed into the mist generator 17 through a pipe 20, and flows as indicated by arrows. An ink mist generated from the ink solution by oscillating a vibrator 19 is taken up by air blown to the surface of the ink solution, is forcibly carried into the ink mist passage consisting of a distributing part 18a and the intake part 18b, and is fed to a printing part. Accordingly, since the air passage is so restricted that air flows into the ink mist passage through the ink mist generator or the vicinity thereof, air containing a large quantity of ink droplets is formed.

In the above configuration, ions are generated from the anode 4, and these ions move toward the printing paper I by the action of the electric field between the anode 4 and the anode 1 source 3. During the movement, the ions pass through the through hole 5d of the aperture board 5,
At this time, it is promoted or blocked by the action of the electric field between the selection electrode 5a and the common electrode 5b. The movement of ions is promoted in the through holes 5d corresponding to the dots to be printed,
When the ink mist 11 is reached, ink particles are attached thereto, and the ink particles move directly toward the cathode 3, and are attracted to the printing paper 1 to print dots. This operation is used as main scanning, and the feeding of the printing paper is used as sub-scanning to print dot-like marks.

In such high-speed printing apparatuses, a phenomenon sometimes occurs in which the print density becomes thinner. This is caused by a shortage of ink mist supplied from the mist tank 6 to the printing section. That is, air to carry the ink mist generated in the mist tank 6 to the printing section is sent into the mist tank 6, but since there is a distance between the mist generator and the mist outlet, the ink mist is The particles are more likely to diffuse, and the amount of ink mist actually carried to the printing area by the air is reduced.

FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view showing a mist tank in a high-speed printing machine according to the present invention. The mist tank 16 is separably formed into upper and lower parts, the lower part of which is an ink mist generator 17 that stores ink solution and generates ink mist, and the upper part of which covers the mist generator 17 and prints the generated ink mist. It constitutes a mist distributor 18 that supplies mist to the parts.

As shown in the plan view of FIG. 4, the mist generator 17 has a plurality of vibrators 19 attached to its bottom in a circular shape, and a side surface of the vibrator 19 for carrying the generated ink mist to the printing section.
A conduit 20 for introducing air into the mist tank 16 is attached. The mist distributor 18 has a conduit 2 at its top for sending the ink mist to the printing section. a, a collection section 18b for collecting ink mist and a collar 18c located between the distribution section 18a and the collection section 18b;

The collar 18c of the mist distributor 18 is superimposed on the upper end of the mist generator 17 to form a mist tank 16 as shown in FIG. FIG. 5 is a longitudinal sectional view of the mist tank nozzle, and as shown in the figure, the collecting portion 18 of the mist distributor 18
b enters the inside of the mist generator 17 and collects the sampling portion 18.
A gap is provided between the mist generator 170 and the peripheral wall 17a of the mist generator 170 to allow air to pass therethrough. The air is fed into the shimist generator 17 through the conduit 20 and flows in the direction of the arrow shown.

The inlet of the collection section 18b of the mist distributor 18 faces near the surface of the ink solution 22 stored in the mist generator 17. Therefore, the ink mist generated from the ink solution by the excitation of the vibrator 19 is scooped up by the air blown onto the surface of the ink solution, and is forced into the ink mist passage consisting of the distribution section 18a and the collection section 18b. Unfortunately, it is sent to the printing section. As described above, in the high-speed printing apparatus according to the present invention, the air containing a large amount of ink particles is regulated so that it passes through the ink mist generator or its vicinity and flows into the ink mist passage. It is formed. Therefore, the ink particles can be sent to the printing section before they bond with each other and liquefy again, and the air flow rate at or near the ink mist generator can be increased, so that the generated ink mist can be immediately blown into the air. Since the ink mist can be drawn into the ink mist flow and introduced into the ink mist passage, the ink mist supply 1 can be increased compared to the conventional method, and it is possible to maintain a clear printing state.
