に対応する静電潜像をトナー現像する間に少なく
とも１回転する水平な回転軸線を有する回転腕と
、自由端部が下方に付勢され回転腕と一時的に当
接する第１位置と回転腕から離間する第２位置と
の間を揺動するトナー検知レバーと、第２位置に
ある前記トナー検知レバーの存在を検知し所定の
信号を出力するレバー検知手段とが具備され、ト
ナーが一定量以上存在している場合、前記トナー
検知レバーの自由端部がトナーによつて一定以上
降下することを阻止されて検知されず、一定量以
下になると降下して前記検知手段にて検知される
ように構成されていることを特徴とするトナー検
知装置。 (2) トナー検知レバーの自由端部は重力によつ
て下方に付勢されている実用新案登録請求の範囲
