如く設けられ且つ低速用及び高速用のカムを有す
るカム軸と、一端が前記内燃機関のロツカアーム
軸に回転自在に支持され且つ他端が吸気弁または
排気弁に当接すると共に略中間部に前記カム軸の
低速用カムに当接するスリツパーを有する主ロツ
カアームと、該主ロツカアームと共通のロツカア
ーム軸に一端が回転自在に支持され且つ前記カム
軸の高速用カムに当接するスリツパーを有する少
なくとも１つの副ロツカアームと、これら主ロツ
カアームと副ロツカアームとを連動状態及び非連
動状態に択一的に切り換える切換手段とを具備し
、内燃機関の高速回転時前記主・副ロツカアーム
を連動状態にすることにより前記高速用カムに従
つて前記弁を開閉作動し、内燃機関の低速回転時
前記主・副ロツカアームを非連動状態にすること
により前記低速用カムに従つて前記弁を開閉作動
し得る如く構成したことを特徴とする内燃機関の
