That is, in this method, a fixed blade 1 having a 90° cutting portion and a movable blade 2 having an acute-angled cutting portion are placed facing each other, and the lead wire 3 of the electronic component is cut at the cutting surface 4. At this time, burrs 5 are generated on the outside of the cross-sectional dimension of the lead wire 3 of the electronic component. The presence of this burr 5 has been one of the causes of frequent insertion errors when automatically inserting lead wires of electronic components into circuit boards. Therefore, a butting method shown in FIG. 2 can be considered as a cutting method for cutting without the burr 5. That is, this is a method in which movable blades 6 having acute-angled cutting portions are placed facing each other, and the movable blades 6 on both sides are moved forward to cut the lead wire 3 of the electronic component at the cutting surface 7, and no burrs are generated on the cutting surface 7. . However, the movable blade 6 has a drawback that after cutting the lead wire 3 of the electronic component, the blade edges collide with each other, causing wear of the blade edges, and as the number of cutting increases, the cutting is not completed completely.

The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, to keep the burr after cutting within the cross-sectional dimension of the lead wire, to prevent the lead wire of an electronic component from being incorrectly inserted into the board, and to completely maintain the lead wire for a long time. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for cutting lead wires of electronic components.

That is, in the present invention, a first cutting blade having a cutting edge protruding at an acute angle and a lead wire holder are brought close to each other and closed to sandwich the lead wire of an electronic component, and the cutting edge of the first cutting blade is closed. A sharp recess is formed in the lead wire of the electronic component, and then a second cutting blade having a cutting blade is moved from a direction opposite to the first cutting blade, so that the cutting edge of the first cutting blade and the second cutting blade are moved. The cutting edge of the two cutting blades intersects to cut the lead wire of the electronic component.

The present invention will be specifically described below based on embodiments shown in the drawings. That is, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, each lead wire 3 of the electronic component 14 is held by a separation claw 15 driven by a drive source (not shown). Then, a fixed blade 8 having a cutting blade 8a protruding at an acute angle at its tip and a movable blade 11 having a lead wire holder 10 and a 90-degree cutting blade 11a face each other so as to sandwich the lead wire 3 of this electronic component 14. It exists as such. A fixed blade 8 having a cutting edge 8a projecting at an acute angle is attached to a block 9 with a screw. Block 9 is fastened to right slider 16 with screws 21. On the other hand, a square window is bored in the center of the lead wire holder 10, and the movable blade 11 having a 90-degree cutting edge 11a is fitted therein.
The lead wire holder 10 is formed to be slidable left and right. The movable blade 11 is fastened to the left slider 17 with a screw 20 with a spacer 18 sandwiched therebetween. Further, a tension spring 19 is stretched between the movable blade 11 and the lead wire holder 10, and the movable blade 11 is movable until the right end of a groove formed in the lead wire holder 10 to insert the spacer 18 comes into contact with the left end of the spacer 18. The lead wire presser 10 is moved to the right with respect to the blade 11.

The operation of the lead wire cutting device described above is performed as follows. That is, the right slider 16 and the left slider 1
7 are driven toward each other by, for example, a cam drive (not shown). First, the right slider 16 advances to the left and is mechanically stopped at a position where the fixed blade 8 contacts the lead wire 3. Next, after a short delay, the left slider 17 moves forward to the right, and first, the lead wire holder 10 presses the lead wire 3 against the fixed blade 8 and presses the cutting edge 8 of the fixed blade 8.
At part a, the lead wire 3 is recessed at an acute angle as shown in FIG. Subsequently, the left slider 17 advances to the right while stretching the tension spring 19, and as shown in FIG. 4, the lead wire 3 is instantly plastically deformed by the cutting blade 11a and cut along the cutting surface 12. do. At this time, burr 13 occurs, but
This fits within the cross section (wire diameter) of the lead wire 3 without protruding.

After cutting, the movable blade 11 moves back to the left together with the left slider 17, and then the lead wire presser 10
moves back to the left, and finally the fixed blade 8 moves back to the right together with the right slider 16.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the burrs generated when cutting the lead wires are contained within the cross-sectional dimensions of the lead wires, and when inserting the lead wires of electronic components into the board, it is possible to provide sufficient clearance for the insertion holes. , the insertion defect rate can be reduced and work efficiency can be significantly improved, and since the cutting edges do not collide with each other, there is no wear on the cutting edges, and the lead wire can be completely cut over a long period of time. This is a remarkable effect. play.
