Claims (1)

[Scope of utility model registration request] In an auto-reverse type tape player in which the direction of the rotary head and the head extension are performed by reciprocating rotation of a single cam gear, a fan-shaped gear that meshes with a gear provided on the head lead side of the rotary head, and a fan-shaped gear are used. an engaging protrusion protruding from the side opposite to the rotating head side and having a tapered end; and a head rotating arm having a U-shaped engaging part that is swung by the cam gear and engages with the engaging protrusion of the sector gear. The engaging protrusion of the fan-shaped gear engages with the U-shaped engaging part of the head rotating arm only when the rotating head is in the release position, and the engaging protrusion engages with the U-shaped engaging part of the head rotating arm when the rotating head is in front of the released position. A head rotation mechanism for a tape player, characterized in that the head rotation mechanism does not come into contact with a shaped engaging portion.
