ンナー1の回転トルクを、主軸2に伝達してい
る。また、いま水車運転をしているものとしたと
き、ある出力を発生してランナーが回転している
ときは、F方向に水の力による下降力を発生して
いるので、この下降力およびランナー1の自重を
ささえるために、ボルト3によつて、ランナーフ
ランジ7と、主軸フランジ2′とを締結せしめて
いる。ボルト3の頭部が水中に露出したままで回
転運動をすると、ボルト3の頭部において水を撹
拌し不具合を生ずるので、ボルト3の頭部を覆う
ために、ボルトカバー4を設置せしめている。
