Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photo interruptor having a simple construction and a high resolution, by shielding the wider portion of a sheathing case having projected apertures with a stopper. CONSTITUTION:A sheathing case is provided on its light-emitting surface and light-receiving surface opposed to each other with slits 41 and 42, respectively. A projected slit 43 is provided previously at a position within each of the slits where a slit window is to be formed, and a light-emitting element and a light- receiving element are incorporated in the case. A stopper 46 having slit bars 44 and 45 wider than the slit window is incorporated in the sheathing case previously provided with the light-emitting and light-receiving elements. In the projected slits provided in the sheathing case, only the slit windows 47, 48 and 49 required to be opened are opened while the rest parts are shielded. In such a manner, a photo interruptor having a high resolution can be obtained with a simple construction.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Application] The present invention relates to a light blocking device, which has a structure in which a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element are opposed to each other with a certain gap, and are integrated into one exterior case. If there is a light-blocking medium in between, no light will be transmitted; if there is no light-blocking medium, light will be transmitted. That is, the present invention relates to a so-called photointerface which detects the presence or absence of a blocking medium based on the presence or absence of light transmission.

Considering the functions of this photo ink jellyfish, it can be used in a wide variety of fields (it can be used to detect the position and rotation of OA equipment, etc.)! As the equipment used in the near future becomes smaller, the blocking media and travel distances become smaller, and mounting is subject to positional restrictions. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for small-sized, high-resolution photointeractors.

[Conventional photo ink 2) Structure and problems of conventional photointerrupters] As shown in FIG. 1(a), a photointerrupter usually has a light emitting collector 11 having a light emitting element pellet in a resin mold package and a light receiving element pellet in a resin mold. The light-receiving elements 12 included in the package are assembled separately, and -
The three elements 11 and 12 of the set are assembled in a resin-molded exterior case 13 such that the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting element and the light-receiving surface of the light-receiving element face each other.

Additionally, as shown in Figure 1(b), there is a structure that has an element fixing plate 14 (hereinafter referred to as a stopper) for the purpose of improving the adhesive strength of the elements inside the outer case and preventing contact between the terminals of each element. . As mentioned above, in order to achieve high resolution of the photointerrupter, it is necessary to narrow the opening (hereinafter referred to as a slit) in the outer case. The conventional forming method and problems will be explained below.

As shown in FIGS. 4(a) and 4(bl), the stopper 26 having a light-emitting element and light-receiving element is incorporated into the outer case, and at the same time, the slit provided in the outer case is filled, and the desired slit window is inserted. It is a structure that forms.

The slit window to be formed is shown in Fig. 5 taJ, (
As shown in bl, it is determined by X (slit width), Y (slit length), and Y' (slit rod length), but in order to obtain higher resolution, it is necessary to make the X dimension narrower.

The Y dimension depends on the position of the base axis, and the longer it becomes, the more resin bars are added to the slit part when molding the outer case! j 31, 32
It comes out easily and prevents insertion of the slit rod. In addition, the slit rod itself is not long and thin, so it is easily deformed due to stress during molding, and there are problems in terms of strength. Care must be taken when handling and assembling it, and it is difficult to form a satisfactory slit window. That's difficult.

By devising the shape of the slit provided in the window and the shape of the stopper with the slit rod, and incorporating the stopper into the exterior case in the same way as in the past, a simultaneous slit window is completed. With conventional slit window forming methods, it is relatively easy to form large slit windows with deep optical axes, but the smaller the slit windows and the shallower the optical axis, the more difficult it becomes to form them. . It has a structure in which a convex slit is provided in the blind and exterior case, and the desired slit window is completed by blocking light with a stopper having a convex wide partial slit rod.
