Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はプラスチツクを加工するための少くと
も2本のスクリユが互いに噛合つて異方向回転す
る多軸押出機のスクリユに係り特にスクリユ外径
が根本部から先端部に向つてテーパ状に細くなつ
ているコニカルスクリユに関する。
コニカル形異方向回転の多軸押出機は樹脂の可
塑化がねじ山の間の剪断力により行われるため発
熱が少く、樹脂温度が低いこと、また圧縮を大き
くすることが容易で樹脂の混練が良いことから粘
度の高い樹脂、例へば硬質塩ビ樹脂の成形に有効
である。
この種押出機のスクリユは従来より、その溝深
さが全長にわたり一定のものとスクリユ外径に比
例して溝深さが変化するものとがある。
前者は溝深さh、スクリユ外径Dとした場h/
Dはスクリユ根本部では小さく、スクリユ先端部
では大きくなる。この場合、溝深さhはスクリユ
先端部外径D1によつて決まる、即ち前記外径D1
より溝深さhを決定したときその谷径d1は強度的
に十分な径を保つ必要があり、所定径以下にする
ことが出来ないので溝深さh1はあまり大きく取れ
ず制限される。そのためフイード部の送りが不足
した場合にはスクリユのリードを大きくして送り
能力を大きくしなければならずねじ山数が減少
し、樹脂のバレル内での滞留時間が少くなり予熱
効果が落ちて樹脂押出量が少くなる欠点がある。
また後者の場合、スクリユ外径の大きいフイード
部では樹脂の送り能力が大きく、先端に行くに従
つて溝が浅くなり、圧縮比が大きく予熱が十分に
行われないと圧力のみ大きくなりスクリユに過大
なトルクが負荷され機械破損の原因となるばかり
か、溝深さが深いとバレルからの熱が樹脂に伝わ
りにくく予熱が不十分になり易い等の欠点があ
る。
通常第1図のように2本のスクリユが互いに噛
合いながら回転する斜軸押出機においては、スク
リユ中心角θは約2゜30′〜3゜程度であり芯間
距離Cは根本部C2が大きく先端部C1が最小とな
る。従つてスクリユ溝深さhは芯間距離Cとスク
リユ外径Dとによつて決まりスクリユ外径と谷径
とのスキマがない場合はh=D−Cとなる。
本発明は前述のような欠点を取り除き、根本部
の溝深さh2を深く、しかも先端部溝深さh1は前述
の従来例のように極端に浅くならないようh2とh1
が関連性を保ちつつ変化するようにしたものであ
り、即ち前述の2従来例の中間となるようh2=h1
×C/C(0.6〜0.75)とし、h2が決定されれば、
ス クリユ外径は自動的に決定し、従来のように圧縮
が過大になる欠点を補う為C2/C1(0.6〜0.75)
にしたものである。
本発明者等はテストとして先端径D1=56mm、
h1=12mmのときh2=h1×C/C×0.7としたスクリ
ユ により硬質塩ビパイプの成形テストを行つたとこ
ろ押出量240Kg/Hが得られ、これは従来の溝深
さ一定のスクリユの押出量200Kg/Hと比べ20%
増となつた。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 互いに噛合いながら異方向回転するコニカル
    多軸押出機のスクリユにおいて、フイード部溝深
    さh2は先端部溝深さh1、芯間距離が先端部c1、根
    本部c2としたときh2=h1×c/c(0.6〜0.75)の
    関係 にあることを特徴とするスクリユ。
