Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a disc selecting and driving device supplying automatically a disc to a disc recording and reproducing device by using a drive band to select a disc so as to improve the storage density. CONSTITUTION:A ring drive band 11 is driven by a driver 12 and a position detector 16 supervises the number of turnings. When an object disc comes before a disc loader 15 corresponding to a disc recording and reproducing device 40 desired for recording and reproduction, the position detector 16 detects the disc, the disc loader 15 is activated to load the object disc to the disc recording and reproducing device 14. When the use of the loaded disc to the disc recording and reproducing device 14 is finished, the said disc is returned to a disc holder 13 in the converse order as above.

を共有することができ、ディスクの効果的運用が図れ、
しかも必要なディスクは位置的に最も近い空いているデ
ィスク記録再生装置に実装することにより検索時間が減
少する。また、ディスク記録再生装置にディスクを実装
した状態でディスクは水平状態に保持できるためディス
ク記録再生装置の獅作が安定するという利点をも有して
いる。
