Generally, in the manufacturing process of synthetic short fibers, the spinning speed and the drawing speed are significantly different, so the continuous fiber bundles of tens of thousands of deniers or more produced in the spinning process are once stored in a can in a predetermined amount, and then passed through the next drawing process. Fiber bundles transferred to and stored in a plurality of cans are processed simultaneously.

Such cutting devices generally use reciprocating blades that rotate, move vertically, or horizontally, but after cutting, several to dozens of single fibers remain uncut, causing damage to the cutting device or the can. There was a drawback that the fiber bundle inside the can was pulled out by the single fibers as the can was moved.

As a result of various studies on this problem, the inventor of the present invention found that the single fibers remaining in the cutting device as described above can be prevented from being received on the front surface by a presser or a gripper for the fiber bundle provided on the side of the blade. This is because the fibers pressed against the body do not easily separate even after cutting due to the adhesive force of oil, etc., and a portion of the fibers may remain, especially if synthetic rubber or resin is attached as a cushioning material. This discovery led to this invention.

A receiver 8 corresponding to the groove 19 is fixed to the frame 2 in a U-shape at the front position of the pressing body 7, and a coil spring is installed in a hollow portion (or recess) 20 formed at the front end of the receiver 8. 21 is enclosed, and the coil spring 21
Projecting from the front end of the receiver 8 is a movable pin 22 (not limited to a circular shape) recessably supported by a movable pin 22 . A fiber bundle receiving space 23 is formed between the pressing body 7 and the receiving body 8 , and an introduction path 9 that gradually narrows due to an inclined cover 24 is formed above the receiving space 23 . A guide plate 25 for supporting the fiber bundle is provided on one side. 26
27 is a support for the fluid pressure cylinder 4; A distribution plate 28 is swingably connected to the front cover 24, and the distribution plate 28 has a triangular distribution surface 29 that narrows toward the fluid pressure cylinder 4. However, in a device having such a configuration, when the pedestal 2 is moved forward to the right by the operation of a fluid pressure cylinder (not shown), the upper side (arrow side) of FIG.
When the fiber bundle is moved to a predetermined position and approaches the fiber bundle that is being supplied or dropped into the can, the fiber bundle falls onto the distribution plate 28, and the fiber bundle falls on the downwardly inclined side of the distribution plate 28 (the initial state is Suppose the top of the figure is tilted downward). When the distribution plate 28 passes the center part due to the movement of the pedestal 2 and the falling position of the fiber bundle shifts to the lower side of FIG. 1, the distribution plate 28 is reversed and tilted in the opposite direction due to the weight or falling force of the fiber bundle. (Bottom side of Figure 1). Due to this tilting, the falling position of the fiber bundle from the distribution plate 28 changes to the other side (the can) and the distribution surface 2
9, enters the receiving space 23 from the introduction path 9, is supported by the guide plate 25, and the fiber bundle to be cut is located in the receiving space 23. (each connected to the two cans located below).

Thereafter, the fluid pressure cylinder 4 is actuated to move the holder 5 forward, and at the same time, the slider 11 moves and the pressing body 7 also moves forward. The pressing body 7 moves forward while pressing the fiber bundle with its distal end surface, presses it against the receiver 8, and the front end of the receiver 8 enters the groove 19, and the movable pin 22 retracts. Here, since the pressing body 7 is restricted by the receiving body 8, the slider 11 is prevented from moving forward, and only the holder 5 moves forward.
In response, the receiving sleeve 18 is connected to the coil spring 17.
The fiber bundle slides through the slider 11 while being compressed, and the fiber bundle is gripped more and more strongly by this compression force.

Next, the gripped fiber bundle is cut by the cutting blade 6, but in this case, since the cutting blade 6 is formed in a V shape, the fibers that are not cut are sequentially cut from the tip, and the fibers that are not cut are gradually narrowed at the rear end. The intersection of the cutting blades 6 passes through the space 23, and all the remaining parts are cut here. Thereafter, the holder 5 retreats due to the reverse movement of the fluid pressure cylinder 4, and the pressing body 7 simultaneously moves backward as it retreats by a predetermined distance.

When the pressing body 7 separates from the receiving body 8, the force of the pressing body 7 causes the movable pin 22, which had been recessed in the receiving body 8, to protrude due to the compression of the coil spring 21. Therefore, the movable pin 22, which had been recessed in the receiving body 8, protrudes due to the force of the pressing body 7. The attached fibers are peeled off and slide off the guide plate 25. When the holder 5 retreats and the cutting blade 6 returns to its original position, the cutting operation is completed and the cutter 1 moves to a predetermined position.

Although the above embodiments have been described with the distribution plate 28 provided, the present invention is not limited to those having such a distribution plate. It may be moved to a position where the bundle is introduced. Further, the cutting blade is not limited to the V-shaped one shown in this embodiment, and can be used in all reciprocating types of cutters, such as a push-cut type, a movable/fixed blade type, and a rotating type.

Note that the movable pin 22 is not limited to a circular cross section, but can have an arbitrary cross section such as an angular cross section, and its diameter, width, and height are determined as appropriate depending on the cross-sectional area of the receiver, and may be changed as the case requires. They can be equal or larger in the vertical direction (height).
