Panels whose edges are bent into a U-shape, Z-shape, etc. are often used for metal cabinets, container lids, top plates, doors, etc. in electrical equipment, office equipment, and furniture. Such panels usually hold down near the edge of the plate material to be processed (hereinafter simply referred to as the work) and bend the protruding part upward or downward at right angles by bending type swing (rotation type) or piling up. Even if it is possible to bend the material twice in the same direction, the mold must be replaced or a different bending machine must be used when bending the material downward and then bending it upward. For this reason, press brakes that can be bent continuously have also been realized, but in this case, unless the workpiece is reversed,
It cannot be bent vertically, that is, in the forward and reverse directions. Even if the press brake allows bending in the forward and reverse directions, there are disadvantages in that not only accurate processing cannot be obtained, but the control device is complicated and expensive.

Here, in the present invention, as described above, a movable frame is attached to the front part of the bed of the bending machine, and a pair of bending dies for upward bending and downward bending are provided on the movable frame, so that the workpiece can be processed by one machine. To provide a bending machine that can continuously perform upward bending or downward bending. That is, the present invention provides an apparatus for edge-bending a workpiece by pressing up or down the bending die while holding the workpiece with an upper die and a lower die. A guide frame that can be tilted within a predetermined bending angle range with the rotation center is installed, and the guide frame has a horizontally long window hole approximately in the center of the rectangular frame body. A movable frame with bending molds for bending and upper bending molds fixed to the inner lower edge thereof is mounted so as to be freely raised and lowered, and a bending cylinder for raising and lowering the movable frame is provided at the lower part of the guide frame, and a bending cylinder for raising and lowering the movable frame, and a bending cylinder for moving the guide frame in a predetermined position. This is a forward/reverse bending machine that is equipped with a tilting cylinder that tilts to the bending angle, and by adjusting the inclination of the guide frame, it is possible to perform processes other than bending at right angles. This allows for overbending processing that takes into account the back.

A rectangular window hole 9 is formed in the longitudinal direction of the movable frame 8, and a pair of upper and lower bending molds 15 and 16, which are opposed to the upper and lower molds, are fixed to the upper and lower sides of the window hole. The guide frame 7 consists of left and right vertical frames 11 and a horizontal frame 12 connecting the lower parts of the vertical frames.A shaft 10 is protruded from the outside of the vertical frame 11 on the same line as the tips of the upper and lower molds. is supported by a bearing 13. A groove 14 is formed inside the vertical frame 11 to guide both side portions of the movable frame 8, and an overbend adjustment mechanism 20 provided behind the lower beam 17 which also serves to adjust the tilting angle of the movable frame. It is connected. The illustrated overbend adjustment mechanism 20 includes a tilting cylinder 22 pivotally supported by a bracket 21 fixed behind the lower beam 17, a piston rod 23 of the cylinder extending through a hole 25 in the lower beam 17, and a pin joint at the tip of the piston rod. and a bracket 24 on the guide frame 7 side. However, this mechanism 20 may be replaced with a mechanism using screws. Several bending cylinders 18 are provided on the horizontal frame 12 of the guide frame 7, and the tips of their piston rods 19 are fixed to the lower part of the movable frame 8. In addition, code 2 in the figure
6 is a piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder 4, and 27 is a ram guide.

In the above device, in order to bend a workpiece, first place the workpiece 30 on the bed 2 as shown in FIG. 5 and lower mold 6
Press the workpiece with and. The tip of the workpiece 30 is projected into the window hole 9 of the movable frame 8. This window hole 9
An abutment member (not shown) is arranged outside the abutment member, and the tip of the abutment member is inserted into the window hole 9 and abuts against the edge of the workpiece to regulate the bending length. Next, when the bending cylinder 18 is actuated to raise the movable frame 8 within the guide frame 7, the workpiece is bent upward at a right angle by the upward bending die 16. Conversely, when it is lowered, it is bent downward by the bending die 15.

In this case, when the overbend adjustment mechanism 20 is driven, the guide frame 7 is rotated by a predetermined angle around the shaft 10 by the expansion and contraction of the piston rod 23, so that the slide angle of the movable frame 8 is adjusted and the bending angle is adjusted to take into account the spring back. Bending is performed. That is, when bending upward, the guide frame 7 is tilted slightly toward the upper mold side, as shown in FIG. 4, and when bending downward, the guide frame 7 is tilted toward the lower mold side, as shown in FIG. be. Furthermore, if the stroke of the overbend adjustment mechanism 20 is lengthened, acute angle or obtuse angle bending other than right angle bending is possible. Note that the bearing 13 may be made to be able to slide on a line parallel to the workpiece holding surface in preparation for variations in the workpiece plate thickness.

Figures 6A to 6E show various bending shapes of the workpiece when starting from upward bending, and Figures 7A to 7E show various bending shapes of the workpiece when starting from downward bending. , c indicate the upper bent sides, and a', b', and c' indicate the lower bent sides. That is, the sixth
Figure A shows the side a formed by an upper bend, and Figure 6B shows the one shown in Figure 6A made to protrude further and the side b formed by the second upward bend, resulting in a U-shaped cross section. It is something. Figure 6C shows the process of upward bending and then downward bending to create a side b perpendicular to side a, forming a Z-shape. Figure 6D shows the third downward bending process following the process shown in figure 6C. The side c′ is the sixth
Figure E shows the upper bent side c formed. On the other hand, Fig. 7A shows side a' formed by downward bending, and Fig. 7B shows the case where side b' is bent downward for the second time following side a' to form a U-shape. be. Further, FIG. 7C shows an example in which the upper bent side b is formed following the machining a' in FIG. 7A, and Z-shape machining is performed. FIGS. 7D and 7E respectively show the case in which side c or c' is formed by performing upward bending or downward bending for the third time following the processing shown in FIG. 7C. In the above example, each side was bent at a right angle, but
In addition to being able to combine acute or obtuse bending,
It is also possible to perform stepwise bending not only up to three times but also four or more times.

As described above, according to the present invention, a guide frame is attached to the front part of the bed, and a movable frame having a pair of bending dies for upward and downward bending is attached to the guide frame so as to be able to move up and down. By pressing the workpiece with the die and driving the movable frame, the edge of the workpiece can be bent upward or downward. Therefore, it is possible to continuously bend the workpiece up and down without reversing it. In addition, the movable frame has a window hole approximately in the center of the frame body for fixing the bending dies for downward bending and upward bending, so it is easy to install each bending die, and when bending the work It is possible to regulate the bending length by inserting an abutting member into the window hole from outside the machine and abutting against the edge of the workpiece. Furthermore, since the guide frame can be tilted within a predetermined angle range around the tip of the upper die and the lower die as the center of rotation when holding the workpiece, overbending can be performed taking into account spring back when bending. Accurate bending can be achieved.
