来のローラーハースキルンにおいては、高温化に
おいてローラーの自重及び被焼成品の荷重が作用
するので第3図のようにローラー30の中央部が
下方へ撓むこととなり、このため中央部の被焼成
品20が両側の被焼成品20よりも進行が遅れて
第4図のようになる現象が生じ、炉出口における
被焼成品20の自動搬出に困難を生ずるととも
に、タイル等の直焼を行うときには焼成帯におけ
るタイル等の間隔が不均一となつて焼成ガスの流
れが乱れ、タイルに反り、くつつきその他の品質
上のばらつきを生ずる等の種々の問題があつた。
このような現象は細径のローラーを用いたローラ
ーハースキルンにおいては不可避なものとされて
おり、ローラーハースキルンの本質的な欠点とし
てその有効な解決策が強く求められていた。

品20の移送距離修正値は次式によつて与えられ
るので、必要ローラー本数nは逆算により容易に
求められる。
