In recent years, with the trend of using hot water in a variety of ways, in order to increase the capacity of appliances and ensure the environmental safety of residents from indoor air pollution, as well as to solve problems such as the space for installing appliances in narrow kitchens, appliances have been installed on outdoor walls. There is a tendency for models that are installed in On the other hand, combustion-type gas water heaters that use forced ventilation using a blower have been put into practical use for the purpose of making them more compact or incorporating burners for high-load combustion, and various air supply and exhaust systems have been developed accordingly. ing. The present applicant had previously devised the forced air supply and exhaust system for a combustor as described above (see Utility Application No. 55-37299 and Utility Model Application No. 56-937); In the proposed invention, the following problems were found to occur because the structure is such that exhaust air is discharged along the outdoor wall surface from both ends of the exhaust pipe provided above the lid.

In other words, during combustion, exhaust gas is forcibly discharged at a high temperature of approximately 200°C, so depending on the outside wind conditions, this high-temperature exhaust gas may hit adjacent structures, which may cause burnout if the structures are made of combustible material. If this is noticeable, it may lead to a fire accident. Furthermore, if the appliance is installed adjacent to a building opening (window, door, etc.), exhaust gas may enter the room when the opening is opened, causing contamination. Furthermore, if the appliance is installed facing a passageway in an apartment complex, the high-temperature exhaust gas may directly hit passersby, making them feel uncomfortable. Therefore, from a fire prevention perspective, structures that come into contact with exhaust gas are required to be covered with fireproof materials, and structures that sufficiently dilute exhaust gas are required to prevent indoor air pollution and direct impact from exhaust gas. However, there is a problem in that equipment costs and production costs increase.

The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned problems, and satisfactorily performs the ventilation function without recirculating the exhaust gas to the air supply side under both windless and windy conditions. To provide an air supply/exhaust system which not only ensures fire safety of the wall surface on which the appliance is mounted, but also solves the problems of indoor air contamination and direct hit by exhaust gas, and which has a simple structure and can be manufactured at low cost.

In the figure, 1 is the combustor body of the water heater, in which a heat exchanger 2 and a flue 3 are arranged in the upper part, and a burner 4 and a blower 5 for forced ventilation are provided in the lower part, as well as controls (not shown). It is equipped with a device and housed in a case 6 with an open front. The flue 3 is bent forward above the casing 6 and opens slightly protruding forward from the opening surface of the casing 6. Further, the air supply passage 7 provided with the blower 5 is located at the lower part of the combustor main body 1 and opens forward. Reference numeral 8 denotes a lid body for closing the opening of the casing 6, which has a hole 8a in the upper part through which the open end of the flue 3 is inserted, and an air supply hole 8b near the center of the lower part. An exhaust pipe 9 covering the housing 6 is attached to the front surface, and is attached to the casing 6 with a flange 8c. The exhaust pipe 9 has a horizontally elongated shape that is approximately equal in width to the lid body 8, and has an inclination angle θ (for example, about 20 degrees to 45 degrees) on the top surface of the exhaust pipe 9, which is divided into left and right sides from the center C, with each half facing inward. A cut and raised piece 1 that is cut and bent outward to form a shape.
A plurality of exhaust holes 10 having a diameter of 0' are provided. 1
Reference numeral 1 denotes end plates that close openings at both ends of the exhaust pipe 9. 12 is a seal packing, which is attached to the lid body 8;
When attached to the casing 6, communication between the space inside the casing 6 and the exhaust pipe 9 is cut off. A is shown outdoors.

First, when the water heater is operated in the case of no wind or weak wind, combustion air is supplied to the air supply hole 8 by the blower 5.
It is forcibly drawn in from b as shown by the solid arrow and participates in combustion in the burner 4. The high-temperature combustion gas generated by the combustion rises inside the combustor main body 1, loses heat in the heat exchanger 2, becomes exhaust gas, and becomes the flue gas 3,
It is sent into the exhaust pipe 9. However, there are no holes in the front and bottom surfaces of the exhaust pipe 9, and both ends have end plates 11.
Since the exhaust gas is sealed by the air, the exhaust air is discharged to the outdoors A through the exhaust hole 10, which has a plurality of outwardly cut and raised pieces on the upper surface. Rather, the cut and raised piece 10' of the exhaust hole 10
As the flow progresses, the openings of the left and right halves each move toward the center of the upper surface of the exhaust pipe 9 at an inward inclination angle θ (see Fig. 3) or an outward inclination angle θ.
1 (see FIG. 5), all of the gas is discharged obliquely upward away from the outer wall W surface as shown by the broken line arrow, and is dissipated while being diluted with the outside air. Therefore, the exhaust gas does not go around to the air supply hole 8b side,
The air supply is fresh.

Next, when entering under windy conditions, especially when the wind blows against the exhaust stack 9 in the downward direction P 1 , horizontal P 2 , and upward direction P 3 as shown by the white frame arrow shown in FIG. Exhaust hole 10
Since it has a cut and raised piece 10', the wind does not directly enter the exhaust stack 9 and suppress the exhaust, and the exhaust takes a path that is a combination of the outflow vector of the exhaust gas and the wind vector. Since the air is dissipated following an upward flow toward the front as shown by the arrow, it is not sucked through the air supply hole 8b.

Furthermore, when wind blows into the exhaust pipe 9 in a horizontal direction P 4 or an oblique direction P 5 as shown by the black frame arrows shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the exhaust hole 10 on one side opens toward the wind.
Although exhaust gas is suppressed by wind pressure, the exhaust gas is exhausted from the exhaust hole 10 on the other side.
During this discharge, the exhaust gas is promoted by the suction effect of the wind flowing along the upper part of the cut and raised piece 10'.

The wind in the horizontal direction P 4 and oblique direction P 5 carries away the exhaust gas not only when the wind is horizontal but also when there is an upward or downward angle in the same way as when it is horizontal.

As described above, the air supply and exhaust system of the present invention has an oblong exhaust pipe attached to the upper outer surface of the combustor lid.
On the top surface, there are exhaust holes divided from the center to the left and right, each half of which has a plurality of cut and raised pieces that are angled inward or outward from each other, so it can be used even when there is no wind or weak wind. Even under windy conditions in any direction, the exhaust air never approaches the air supply hole, so the exhaust gas is not mixed with the air supply and recirculated. Due to the inclination, the air flows diagonally upward, and is diluted and dissipated over a wide area into the outside air above the appliance, so even if the appliance is installed in a wall or the structure adjacent to the appliance is flammable, It is possible to avoid heating the structure in a straight line, and as a result, there is no need to install fireproof material in the area that receives the exhaust air like in conventional equipment, making it safer from a fire prevention standpoint. It also solves the problem of direct impact on people, and has the effect of being able to be implemented at a low cost.
