ルの捲取り軸16を中心とする径を短くすること
ができた。従つて捲取り軸16の上甲板17から
の高さhを低くすることができた。その結果ハツ
チコーミング14の高さh′の高さも低くすること
ができただけではなく、カバーパネルの捲取り状
態における格納スペースを小さくすることができ
た。而かもカバーパネルの形状を上記した通り中
間部18の両縁に張り出し縁12,12′を形成
したものとした結果、捲出し水平位置におけるカ
バーパネルの重心位置を公知のカバーパネルより
低い位置とすることができた。従つてハツチコー
ミング及びカバーパネルの全体の重心位置ゆ低く
することができ、それだけ船体重心も低下させる
ことが出来、安全性の向上に役立ち得た大きな利
