As shown in FIG. 1, the configuration of a conventional parallel electrode plate type electric precipitator includes a set of dust collecting electrode plates 101 inside a main body casing 100. Air A is blown and flows by the blower 102. An ionization line 103 and an acceleration electrode 104 are provided between the dust collecting electrode plates 101 facing the dust-containing air flow, and each electrode is connected to the ionization line 10.

is connected. The dust in the dust-containing air A produced by this electrostatic precipitator is charged by corona discharge at the ionization wire 103, and is further charged by the electric field caused by the high voltage applied between the rear accelerating electrode 104 and the dust collecting electrode 101. The air is collected by air 101 and discharged as clean air B.

However, the dust collected by this electrostatic precipitator adheres to the dust collection electrode 101, so the electrode is usually soaked in detergent for a long time to remove the dust, but in reality it is very difficult to remove and it takes a lot of time. Therefore, it was difficult to maintain and could not be performed by ordinary users.

A first embodiment of this invention is shown in FIG. That is, to explain this electrostatic precipitator in order of the symbols, 1 is a main body casing, and a set of dust collecting electrode plates 2 are provided inside thereof substantially parallel to the flow of air. The dust collecting electrode plate 2 is made by mixing an oxidation catalyst such as platinum with a resistor material, and a heating power source 3 is connected in series with a switch 4. Also, between the dust collecting electrode plates 2, an ionization wire 5 is provided.
and acceleration electrodes 6 are provided, and air is sent between these electrodes by a blower 7. A high-voltage power source 8 is connected to each electrode so that the ionization line 5, acceleration electrode 6, and two dust collection electrodes 2 have the same polarity.

In this electrostatic precipitator, when dust-containing air A enters the inlet, the dust is charged by corona discharge at the ionization wire 5, and is further charged by high voltage applied between the rear accelerating electrode 6 and the dust collecting electrode plate 2. Due to the electric field, the dust is collected on the dust collecting electrode plate 2. On the other hand, if the switch 4 is closed during maintenance and the heating electrode 3 is connected to the dust collecting electrode plate 2, the dust attached to the dust collecting electrode plate 2 will generate heat because the dust collecting electrode plate 2 is made of a resistor. This heat generation heats the dust on the dust collection electrode plate 2 and oxidizes it to decompose it, thereby cleaning it. Further, since the catalyst is attached to the dust collecting electrode plate 2, the cleaning effect is very good, and even if oil mist or the like is collected, the dust collecting electrode plate 2 is completely cleaned. As a result, maintenance is very easy and maintenance costs are low, which has great industrial value.

Furthermore, since the dust collecting electrode plate 2 is formed to be porous by foaming, the surface area becomes rough and the surface area increases, so that the effect of the catalyst is further improved. Further, since the dust collecting electrode plate 2 is provided substantially parallel to the air flow, no increase in air resistance is caused.

A second embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. That is, this electrostatic precipitator controls the power source 3, 9 is a changeover switch, and 10 is a heat generating resistor of the dust collecting electrode plate 2. Under normal conditions, the changeover switch 9 is connected so as to energize the blower 7. Next, during maintenance, the heating resistor 10 is connected so that only the heating resistor 10 is energized. In this way, the blower 7 will not be energized during maintenance, so
A small current is effective in increasing the temperature of the dust collection electrode plate 2 to a large extent.

その他は第1の実施例と同様である。 The rest is the same as the first embodiment.

As described above, in the electrostatic precipitator of the present invention, the dust collecting electrode plate is made of a resistive material with a rough surface containing a distributed catalyst, and the dust collecting electrode is energized to generate heat during maintenance. The dust collecting electrode plate can be cleaned by heating and oxidizing the dust adhering to the surface of the electrode plate, making maintenance easier. Moreover, since the surface of the dust collecting electrode plate is formed into a rough surface, the oxidation effect is effectively carried out.
