Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cost of heat source lamp, by employing a halogen lamp as heat source for heat sensitive plate-making unit. CONSTITUTION:A halogen lamp is prepared by sealing a halogen element such as iodine, argon and krypton in an electric bulb. Iodine reacts wih tungsten, etc. at above 300 deg.C and decomposes at a higher temperature. Thus tungsten molecule evaporated from filament combines with iodine and floats before, sticking on bulb wall to blacken and when brought in contact with filament, it is decomposed again and is returned to filament. Therefore, halogen lamp is immune from blackening of bulb wall, emits heat ray required for efficient irradiation of heat sensitive paper and eliminates need of special circuit for high tension power source device such as strobe light emission.

(Function) Halogen lamps contain diiodine and helogen group elements such as argon and krypton inside the bulb tube.
Iodine has the property of combining with tungsten at low temperatures (above 300°C) and decomposing at high temperatures (filament temperature), so tungsten molecules vaporized from the filament attach to the tube wall and convert into iodine before it becomes black. They combine and float, and when they touch the filament ζ, they disintegrate again and return to the filament. Therefore, since the tube wall of the halogen lamp does not blacken, the necessary heat beam for efficiently irradiating the heat-sensitive paper can be obtained, eliminating the need for special circuits or high-voltage power supplies such as strobe lights. Furthermore, as mentioned above, the filament of a halogen lamp has an extremely long lifespan because it does not wear out much. In addition, the volume of halogen lamps is much smaller than other light bulbs.

(Effects of the Invention) The present invention uses a halogen lamp as a heat source lamp for a heat-sensitive i-plate device, thereby achieving high temperatures efficiently and eliminating the need for a special circuit. The performance of heat source lamps has improved due to longer life due to their consumable properties, and they have also become more economical.
Therefore, it greatly contributes to reducing the cost of the heat source lamp that occupies the thermal plate making apparatus.
