  1. 複数の薄膜ヘッド素子が型成された基板と保護板とがガ
    ラス融着されてなる薄膜ヘッドにおいて、トラック部近
    傍部に薄膜ヘッド素子を構成する多層膜よりなるダミー
    膜を配し、かつ前記ダミー膜がテープ摺動面に露出して
    いることを特徴とする薄膜ヘッド。
