Traditionally, cars have stored spare tires that are the same size as the tires used for normal driving, and when the regular tire becomes flat, it is replaced with the spare tire and used for driving, and the flat tire is repaired. It was common to store this as a spare tire. However, due to the recent demand for lighter automobiles, tires with a smaller diameter and width than regular tires are being prepared as tires in case of a puncture. That is, this tire is not used regularly for driving, but is used temporarily as a substitute for the regular tire until a puncture of the regular tire is repaired, and is, so to speak, an emergency tire.
Therefore, after repairing a regular tire, replace the emergency tire currently in use with the repaired regular tire.
It is assumed that the original regular tires will be used.

Conventionally, the spare tire storage device for vans, wagons, and other automobiles has generally been of the so-called hanging type, in which the front end of a tire hanger consisting of a U-shaped frame is pivotally supported on the vehicle body so that it can rotate freely, and the rear end is attached to the vehicle body (see Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 52-63836), and the spare tire is held between the frame and the vehicle body, but to be able to store both the emergency tire and the regular tire would inevitably make the structure complicated and expensive. For this reason, there were hanging type spare tire storage devices made to a size specifically for storing emergency tires, but since they could not store regular tires that had punctured, they had to be loaded into the trunk, etc., and it was necessary to reserve space in the trunk for loading punctured tires, and the trunk would get dirty,
There was a problem with the loaded tires bouncing around when driving. Also, a separate tire storage device can be installed to store regular tires that have been punctured, but
There are problems in terms of space and cost.

In view of this point, the present invention forms a first tire mounting surface on which a regular tire is mounted on the frame of the tire hanger, and two stepped sections, front and rear, which are higher than the first tire mounting surface. The upper surfaces of both tiers are used as a second tire mounting surface on which emergency tires are placed, and one of the tiers is provided with a positioning section for the regular tire in the front and rear direction, so that the regular tire and the emergency tire can be placed on either side. The present invention provides a hanging spare tire storage device that can store either type of spare tire.

In the tire hanger 3, the rear ends of left and right vertical frames 6, 6 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body are connected by a horizontal frame 7, and both ends of the vertical frame 6 are rotatably attached to the lower surface of the vehicle body 4 by hinges 8. The horizontal frame 7 is pivotably supported, and the horizontal frame 7 is removably anchored to the vehicle body 4 by a locking means 9. The vertical frame 6 has a base 12 extending forward from both ends of the horizontal frame 7, and is connected to the base 12 by a predetermined amount from the upper surface of the base, that is, the tire width of the large-diameter regular tire 30 and the small-diameter emergency tire 31. A front step portion 13 is made higher by a certain degree, and an upwardly extending portion 14 is formed following the front step portion 13. The hinge 8 is provided at the tip of the extending portion 14, and a pedestal 15 is provided at the rear of the base portion 12. is fixedly installed, and a rear step portion 16 having the same height as the front step portion 13 is formed on the pedestal 15 . Therefore, the upper surface of the base 12 is a first tire mounting surface 17 on which the regular tire 30 is mounted.
Furthermore, the upper surface of each of the front stepped portion 13 and the rear stepped portion 16 is made into a second tire mounting surface 18 on which the emergency tire 31 is placed. Further, in the frame 15, the rising portion of the rear step portion 16 is curved along the inner circumference of the rim 32 of the regular tire 30, so that the rising portion is curved along the inner circumference of the rim 32 of the regular tire 30.

In the above structure, the regular tire 30 is placed on the first tire mounting surface 17 of the vertical frame 6, and is positioned in the front-rear direction by the positioning part 21 of the rear step part 16, and is placed on the rear end of the tire hanger 3. By engaging the bolt 27 of the fastener 24 with the cutout groove 25 of the bracket 23 provided and screwing the bolt 27 into the cylindrical portion, the regular tire 30 is secured between the first tire mounting surface 17 and the lower surface of the vehicle body 4. Tighten and secure. Also,
The emergency tire 31 is mounted on the second tire mounting surface 18 of the vertical frame 6.
The tire is placed on the tire, and the stopper 22 positions the tire in the front-rear direction and fixes it in the same way as the regular tire 30.

As described above, according to the present invention, both large-diameter regular tires and small-diameter emergency tires can be stored, and by storing the emergency tires as spare tires during normal driving, the weight of the vehicle body can be reduced. In addition, if a regular tire becomes flat, the flat regular tire can be stored, eliminating the need to load tires into the luggage compartment as in the past. By providing the positioning portion, an excellent effect can be obtained in that the tire can be easily stored.
