For this reason, there is a demand for miniaturization of the device, so the ejection of the original has to be done at a steep slope due to the space of the device, etc., which has the disadvantage that the original inevitably curls when ejected. .

3 is an auxiliary spring of 2. The original 12 placed on the original platen 4 is fed one by one by an automatic paper feeder, passes through intermediate feed rollers 5 and 6, and is exposed to the light of a fluorescent lamp 10 at the lower part of the reading plate 7 of the reading roller 8. The image is read by the image sensor using the lens 11. At this time, since this type of device generally stacks the documents 12 in an orderly manner on the tray 13, the set position of the tray 13 is set at a steep angle of at most 45 degrees to the vertical direction, as shown in Fig. 1. Ru. The original 12 that has passed through the guide 9 is discharged onto a tray 13.
FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged view of FIG. 1.

上は10<γ2<45゜である。 The details of the present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which a document 12 fed from a document table 4 by a roller 1 immediately reaches a reading roller and is imaged by a fluorescent lamp 10 through a lens at the bottom of a reading plate 7. Read by sensor. At this time, the difference from the conventional example is that the reading direction d has an angle γ 2 with respect to the original 12.
For this reason, the angle at which the document hits the guide 9 is reduced compared to conventional reading at right angles to the direction of the document 12, making it less likely that the document will curl, and at the same time preventing jams due to curling of the document. Further, the reading angle γ 2 with respect to the original is 20° in this embodiment, but this angle may be as long as γ 2 <90°, but in practice it is 10<γ 2 <45°.

である。 As described above, by providing the reading angle γ 2 with respect to the document, even if the device is small, the ejection of the device will not be at a steep slope with respect to the ejection guide, and even if the document is curled by the paper feed roller. Since the document is bent from the back side by the reading roller, it is possible to prevent the document from curling and jamming due to the curl, and is very effective in practical applications such as document storage.
