That is, the present invention forms a multi-stage sedimentation bed by arranging endless belt-like cloth in a zigzag pattern on the raw water inflow side of a sedimentation basin (sedimentation tank), with the horizontal direction of the multi-stage sedimentation bed aligned with the flow direction. One roller installed at the bottom of the cloth is used as a screw conveyor, allowing the solid particles in the raw water to naturally settle onto each bed, and by driving the cloth, the sludge, etc. that has settled on each bed is sent to the bottom of the settling tank. The gist of this invention is to make it fall, and the invention will now be explained based on the illustrated embodiments.

This multi-stage sedimentation device 3 is installed on a pedestal 4 installed above the pond.
A support frame 5 for suspending and supporting a multi-stage sedimentation bed is installed vertically, and a large number of bearings 6 are provided at substantially constant pitches in the vertical direction of the support frame 5, and rollers 7 are installed between the bearings 6, which face each other in the water flow direction. Each is rotatably supported.

The length of this roller 7 is the width of each tiered bed in the inflow direction, and the distance between the left and right opposing rollers is the width of the tiered bed. Therefore, the rollers 7 bearing on the support frame 5 are arranged on both sides of the frame 5, but the left and right rollers are different from each other in a staggered manner. Then, an endless belt-like cloth 8 is strung in a zigzag manner between the rollers facing each other in a staggered manner to the left and right, and the cloth between the left and right rollers is used as a settling bed to form a multi-stage structure.

Further, a scraper 9 is provided protruding from the support frame 5 so as to come into contact with the surface of the cloth at the outer side of the roller forming the multi-tiered bed, so as to scrape off the sludge etc. that have naturally settled on the multi-tiered floor by driving the cloth.

A part of the endless belt-like cloth is guided above the sedimentation basin and is applied to a drive roller 10 installed on a pedestal, and the drive roller 10 is driven at a required speed by a motor M or a reduction gear from the motor M. . A roller near the bottom of the pond that is vertically opposite to this driving roller 10 is connected to a screw conveyor 11.
The conveyor 11 is driven by the belt-like cloth 8.
so that it can be rotated. A scraper 12 is provided slightly above the screw conveyor 11 so as to be in contact with the cloth surface.

As mentioned above, when raw water flows into the sedimentation tank 1 equipped with a multi-stage sedimentation bed and the cloth 8 is driven at a predetermined speed by the motor M, solid particles such as solid particles in the raw water are removed. As it flows down, it naturally settles on each tier bed due to its own weight. Since the cloth is being driven, the sludge and the like that have settled on the floor are scraped off by the scraper 9 at the position where the cloth is perpendicular to the rollers and fall to the pond bottom. At this time, the sludge scraped off by the scraper on the left side of Figure 2 falls toward the bottom of the pond, but the sludge scraped off with the scraper on the right side falls into the bag-shaped cloth. becomes. This bottom roller is used as a screw conveyor, so when the sludge, etc. that has fallen onto the cloth is supplied to the screw conveyor as the cloth advances, the sludge, etc. is removed by the drive of the conveyor, which is on the end face of the screw conveyor, that is, on the side of the cloth. It is ejected in this direction and falls into the pond bottom.

In this way, solid particles such as sludge in the raw water flowing into the pond are removed by natural settling on each stage bed, but this endless belt-like cloth can be operated continuously or at regular intervals. An intermittent drive method may also be used.

According to the present invention, the sludge that has fallen onto the bottom layer of an endless cloth stretched in a zigzag pattern between the rollers arranged in a staggered manner and the sludge that has adhered to the cloth is transferred to the rollers near the bottom of the cloth pond. The fabric is forcibly scraped out to the side by a screw conveyor installed at the top, and is constantly cleaned by a scraper, so continuous operation is possible without maintenance.
Moreover, since the cloth is placed on the screw conveyor at the lowest position of the cloth, there is an advantage that the screw conveyor can be driven by simply driving the cloth.
