Abstract

PURPOSE:To reliably fix a bearing with a small press-fitting load by providing a spline on a shaft, press-fitting the inner ring of the bearing into this spline to fix the shaft and the bearing in a distributor bearing device. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 2, an oil seal 3, and an oil-impregnated metal 4 are stored in the housing 1 of a distributor. After a shaft 5 is polish-machined, a spline 11 having multiple ruggednesses 15, 16 provided by plastic-machining is provided on the coupling section of the bearing 2. The shaft 5 is press-fitted into the inner ring of the bearing 2 by applying a load in the shaft 5 direction. Accordingly, the bearing can be reliably fixed with a small press-fitting load.
