ことが挙げられる。そして、これらの問題点の解
決に着眼した両持ち式砥石軸の砥石交換装置その
ものは従来の市販品にも見受けられる。しかし、
これら従来の装置には次の如き難点がある。

を水平状態に支持する支えを立設し、この1対の
脚に水平状態の砥石軸と直交し、かつ略水平状態
の砥石軸の重心を通る水平線上に1対の旋回軸を
回転可能に軸承し、この1対の旋回軸に前記砥石
軸軸長の略半分の回転半径を有し、前記支えと逆
方向に伸びる略U字型の砥石軸支持アームの基部
を固設し、この略U字型の砥石軸支持アームの先
端部と押え蓋とで砥石軸の他端を抱持させ、上記
1対の旋回軸の一方にウオームホイールを固設
し、このウオームホイールに噛合するウオームを
前記脚の一方に操作ハンドル付きの軸を介して回
転可能に軸承させたから、砥石交換時、操作ハン
ドルを回動操作するだけで、砥石軸を水平状態か
ら垂直状態に回動させることができ、特に、上記
回動操作力は、減速比の大きいウオームとウオー
ムホイールとよりなるウオーム減速機構を採用し

を小さくでき、全体を小型コンパクトに構成で
き、従来の如くチエーンブロツク等を使用するこ
となく、1人の作業者によつてこの種両持ち式砥
石軸を有するセンターレス研削盤の砥石交換作業
を軽快にしかも安全に行うことができ、また、本
体を移動可能としているため、運搬に便利であ
り、スペース的に制約のある所へも容易に搬入す
ることができるものである。
