Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable negative images to be eliminated or deformed, by a method wherein a used ink donor film (IDF) is heated by a heater or the like and the heated surfaces of the IDF are rubbed on each other. CONSTITUTION:The used IDF 11 is passed through a lower part of guide roll 12, the upper surface of a guide plate 13 and a lower part of a guide roll 14, is wrapped around a turn-roll 15 by a half of the circumference, and is passed through the guide plate 13 to be taken up by a take-up reel 16. On the surface of the guide plate 13, the ink surfaces of two portions of the IDF 11 are faced to each other. The turn-roll 15 and the take-up reel 16 are driven to rotate respectively in the directions of arrows by a motor or the like, and a heater 17 is energized. By this processing, the upper side portion and the lower side portion of the IDF 11 passed on the guide plate 13 are moved in opposite directions while being heated by the heater 17, whereby the ink surfaces of the two portions of the IDF 11 are rubbed on each other. 接触し、画像情報に応じて発熱抵抗体が駆動されるサー
マルヘッド4と、インク面のIDFIに重ね合せてヘッ
ド4面に記録用紙5を押し当てるプラテン6とより構成
される。

ト13上を通過するIDFIIの上側及び下側のいずれ
もがヒータ17によって加熱されながら、互いに異なる
方向へ走行し、その過程で2枚のIDFIIのインク面
が互いに摩擦される。この結果、ネガ像が形成されたイ
ンク面が摩擦することによってインク層が融着され、或
いは剪断が連続的に行われることによってネガ像が破壊
される。ガイドプレート13における上側のIDFII
は下側のIDFIIとの摩擦を経て、ターンロール15
によってターンしたの     3ち再びガイドプレー
ト13上で2回目の摩擦が行われるため、ネガ像は完璧
に除去または変形(画像が流される状態)される。この
