Conventionally, in gas combustion equipment that uses a proportional control valve, there is a possibility that the frictional resistance of the proportional control valve sliding part will increase, the valve and valve seat may stick, or the diaphragm may be damaged. There were concerns that the temperature might change suddenly or that raw combustion gas might leak outside.

The present invention stores the relationship between the normal current and control pressure of the proportional control valve in an electronic control device, and compares this with the proportional control valve characteristics during actual operation detected by a pressure sensor.
If the current-control pressure characteristic deviates from the allowable range, the main solenoid valve is closed to detect the abnormality at an early stage, thereby solving the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.

The characteristic curve A shown by the dashed line is the standard current-control pressure characteristic when the proportional control valve operates normally, and the characteristic curves B and C shown by the solid line are for the entire operating current width of the proportional control valve. , an allowable lower limit current-control pressure characteristic, and an allowable upper limit current-control pressure characteristic determined in consideration of variations in performance of the gas combustion device and allowable pressure fluctuations.

In the above configuration, the pressure of the fuel gas flowing into the gas inlet 19 of the proportional control valve 3 through the solenoid valve 2 can be controlled by changing the current value applied to the solenoid coil 12, that is, by changing the gap between the valve 14 and the valve seat 18. By changing the pressure, it is controlled to a predetermined pressure. and,
This controlled fuel gas exits the gas outlet 20 and is combusted in the gas burner 5 at a combustion flow rate corresponding to the pressure. As is clear from Figure 2,
In order for the current-control pressure characteristics of the proportional control valve to be always stable, the frictional force between the electromagnetic plunger 17, which is the movable part of the proportional control valve, and the connecting rod 15 and the supporting sliding part (not shown) must be be constant and also that valve 1
4 and the valve seat 18 do not stick together, and
It is essential that the diaphragm 16 is not damaged. However, there is a possibility that the above essential conditions will not be met due to variations in the materials of the parts that make up the proportional control valve, deterioration over time, or the negative effect of a small amount of ozone in the air on the diaphragm 16. . If this happens, the current-control pressure characteristics of the proportional control valve will deviate greatly from the initial value.

Therefore, as shown in the control system schematic diagram of FIG. The detected pressure during actual operation is input to the comparison section 8 in the electronic control device 6, and the normal operation range stored in the normal operation storage section 7, that is, B and C shown in FIG.
It compares and determines whether it falls within the area surrounded by the characteristic curve, and if it does not fall within this area, it is determined that it is in an abnormal state. For example, if the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 4 during actual operation is a pressure P X when the current i 1 shown in FIG. This is determined to be an abnormal state. In this case, an electrical signal indicating an abnormal condition is immediately transmitted.
The flow flows to the original solenoid valve control section 9, and the original solenoid valve 2 is closed.

As is clear from the above explanation, the gas combustion control device of the present invention constantly detects the control pressure of the proportional control valve with a pressure sensor, and uses this detected value and the value in the proportional control valve normal operation memory section in the electronic control device. If they are different, the original solenoid valve will be immediately closed. Therefore, if there is an abnormality in the proportional control valve or in the gas combustion device, the fuel gas will be automatically shut off. This makes it possible to provide an extremely safe gas combustion device.
