Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the sealing performance by making the element fittable to the flow-out port of air-cleaner case at the outlet formed through the case thereby restricting the seal section between the element and the air-cleaner case. CONSTITUTION:Air-cleaner case 1 is a hexahedron having rectangular plan view and longer in back/fro direction where flow-in port 2 and flow-out port 3 are made respectively through the front and rear faces while an element 4 is contained dismountably in said case 1. Here, the element 4 is constructed with a box type element case 7 containable through surrounding gap 6 in said case 1 and a filter 8 fixed to the open face around said case 7. The element 4 will fit to the flow-out port 3 of said case 1 at the outlet 7a formed through the outer face of said case 7. Consequently, only the portion between the outlet 7a and the flow-out port 3 is required to be sealed between the element 4 and said case 1.

レート状のエレメントをその周縁部においてエアクリー
ナケース内にその内部空間を2部分に仕切るようにして
取付けて成ることからエアクリーナケースの内壁とエレ
メントとの間のシールすべき部分が比較的広く而もシー
ル構成が複雑になり勝ちである問題がある。
