Abstract

PURPOSE:To save power consumption of a battery and to extend the operating period by providing a hand-wound spring in addition to the battery and applying the spring energy to a vibrator so as use it as a power source of a pocket bell. CONSTITUTION:A spring-wound common use pocket bell consists of an information processing system 1 consisting of a battery 7, a logic 5 and a display section 6 and a power system 2 comprising a spring 8, a vibrator 9 and a bell 10. The spring 8 consists of a hand-wound spring, and the energy of the spring 8 and the output of the logic 5 driven by the power of the battery 7 of the processing system 1 activate the vibrator. Then the energy of the battery 1 and the spring 8 is used as the drive source of the bell 10 to decrease the power consumption of the battery 1 thereby extending the operating period of the battery 1.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) The use of energy in conventional pagers is not only applicable to information processing systems that require weak currents, but also to power drive systems that require large currents as mentioned above. Since the power supply is supplied, the disadvantage is that the current consumption of the power supply is large.

Electronic circuits are becoming smaller and smaller, but electronic circuitry has not become much smaller and lighter. For this reason, the alarm method, which does not emit a sound and has the advantage of alerting only the person carrying the alarm, has the disadvantage that it cannot be easily used because it consumes a large amount of current.

The logic unit 5 analyzes the signal received by the receiver 4 via the antenna 3t, and controls the speaker 11, display unit 6, vibrator 9, and bell 10t. The display section 6 displays characters and displays light emission. The speaker 6 reproduces audio and generates necessary alert sounds other than the bell 10. The power section 2 is a mechanical section and is composed of a vibrator 9, a bell 10, a mainspring 8, and the like.

The person carrying the pager winds up the mainspring in advance and selects whether to use a vibrator alert or a bell alert. When the vibrator 9 is set to be triggered by the control of the logic section 5, the vibrator 9 vibrates rapidly when receiving its own selection signal. Further, when the bell 10 is set to be triggered, the bell 1O rings when the selection signal is received.
