A method for producing a substituted diene alcohol represented by formula () is provided. The method for producing the compound of the present invention will be sequentially explained below. (i) First step Conventionally, the following methods are known as related to methods for producing substituted diene carboxylic acid esters represented by the general formula (). For example, the primary chrysanthemum acid ethyl ester is heated at high temperature (500

(1976)), but in this case, the raw material must be synthesized from trans-caronic acid or isobutyric acid chloride through a complex multistep process, which is not satisfactory for industrial implementation. It can not be said. Furthermore, although it differs from the method of the present invention in that carboxylic acid is used as a raw material, trans-

(1977)), the main components are olefins and lactones, which are neutral substances.
The yield of substituted dienecarboxylic acid is extremely low and cannot be used as an intermediate for the purpose of this application. Under these circumstances, the present inventors have conducted extensive studies on the method for producing the substituted diene carboxylic acid ester represented by the general formula (), and as a result,
By treating the lower alkyl ester of Daiichichrysanthemum acid with a sulfonic acid, cleavage occurs selectively between the 2- and 3-positions of the three-membered ring, and the double It has been found that a substituted diene carboxylic acid ester having an E-type bond can be obtained in good yield. In carrying out this step, the raw material lower alkyl ester of chrysanthemum acid may be either the trans form, the cis form, or a mixture thereof. Furthermore, as the sulfonic acids, aryl or alkyl sulfonic acids such as para-toluenesulfonic acid, benzenesulfonic acid, naphthalenesulfonic acid, and menthasulfonic acid are used, and the amount used is usually 1 mole of primary chrysanthemum acid ester as a raw material. The amount ranges from 1/100 to 1 mole, preferably from 1/10 to 1/2 mole. In the method of the present invention, a solvent is not essential, but in order to make the reaction proceed more smoothly, it is preferable to use a solvent that does not essentially inhibit the reaction. Examples of such solvents include halogenated hydrocarbons such as chloroform and dichloroethane, aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene and toluene, saturated hydrocarbons such as hexane and heptane, and mixed solvents thereof. The reaction temperature is usually within the range of 30°C to 150°C or the boiling point of the solvent used, preferably 70°C to 150°C.
℃ range. Although the reaction time varies depending on the reaction conditions, the objective can be sufficiently achieved within 10 minutes to 50 hours, and the progress of the reaction can be confirmed by gas chromatography or thin layer chromatography. Although the reaction can be carried out either under reduced pressure or under increased pressure, the purpose can be easily achieved even under normal pressure. Furthermore, when carrying out the present invention, it can be carried out in either a batch format or a continuous format. Alternatively, either method of intermittent input can be adopted. After the sulfonic acids used are removed by extraction, filtration, washing, etc. from the reaction solution where the reaction has been completed as described above, the desired substituted diene carboxylic acid ester is obtained by concentrating the reaction solution. This product can be further purified by means such as distillation and chromatography, if necessary. (ii) Second step The selective reducing agent for selectively reducing the alkoxycarbonyl group of the substituted diene carboxylic acid ester obtained as described above to lead to the substituted diene alcohol represented by the general formula () is as follows:
Examples include aluminum hydride compounds and borohydride compounds. Specific examples of the aluminum hydride compound include lithium aluminum hydride, lithium ethoxy aluminum hydride, sodium aluminum hydride, sodium bis(2-methoxyethoxy) aluminum hydride, and alane. In addition, examples of boron hydride compounds include:
Examples include lithium borohydride, lithium triethylborohydride, and lithium tri-sec-butylborohydride. Further, at this time, it is preferable to carry out the reaction in an inert solvent such as diethyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, dimethoxyethane, diglyme, etc. Depending on the purpose, aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, etc. may be used in addition to these. The reaction temperature is not particularly limited, and −
It can be carried out arbitrarily within the range from 78°C to the boiling point of the solvent. After carrying out the ring reaction in this way, the reaction solution is treated with a mineral acid such as dilute hydrochloric acid or an alkaline aqueous solution such as sodium hydroxide, and then extracted with an organic solvent to obtain the desired substituted diene alcohol. I can do it. Although the substituted diene alcohol obtained in this way has high purity as it is, it can be further purified by means such as distillation or chromatography if necessary. The present invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to Examples. Example 1 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methyl-1-propenyl)-cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (cis/trans=35/65) 20.0 g
To this was added 400 ml of toluene, 5.0 g of para-toluenesulfonic acid was added thereto, and the mixture was reacted at 110°C for 6 hours.
The reaction solution was washed with water and concentrated to obtain 15.2 g of a residue. This was then distilled (b.p50-70°C/1.5mmHg) to obtain 12.8g of pale yellow oil as distillate. According to its gas chromatograph, this product consists of two main components, the ratio of which is compound (1) at 49.4% and compound (2) at 49.4%.
It was 50.6%. Next, 10 g of this distillate was rectified (theoretical plate number: 80
stage, reflux ratio: 50/1), boiling point 98-100℃/11mm
A fraction of 4.0 g of Hg (content of compound (1) : 95.5%) and a fraction of 4.1 g (content of compound (2) : 95.6%) having a boiling point of 71-73°C/1.2 mmHg were separated and obtained. Based on the following spectrum data, these compounds are compound (1) : (E)-5-methyl-2-(1-methyl-ethenyl)-3-hexanoate ethyl compound (2) : (E)-5-methyl- It was confirmed to be ethyl 2-(1-methyl-ethylidene)-3-hexanoate. Compound (1) Infrared absorption spectrum (NaCl, liquid film method) cm -1 1740, 1650, 900 NMR spectrum (CDCl 3 , TMS, 200MHz) δ (ppm) 5.54 (H-3, H-4, m) 4.87 (H-9 a , s, s) 4.15 (H-10, q, J 10
