Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent gaps between two combination heads from being clogged by providing a helical scan type rotary cylinder with a base member where the combination heads are fitted so as to prevent magnetic powder which is accumulated between the heads from sticking by blowing out air through the rotation of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The rotary magnetic head which has two couples of combination heads 3-A and 3-A; and 3-B and 3-B' is fitted to the helical scan type rotary cylinder 1, and the head fitting member 2 is provided so that when the cylinder 1 is rotated as shown by an arrow 11, a flow 12 of air extend to the gaps between the two couples of combination heads 3-A and 3-A' and 3-B and 3-B'. Consequently, magnetic powder, dust, etc., from a magnetic tape 10 are prevented between the tape 10 and heads, thereby performing excellent recording and reproduction.

実施例 第1図〜第4図に本発明の実施例を示す。それらの図に

によれば第4図に示す様にシリンダー回転方向11によ
りヘッド取付はベース2の構成を空気がコンビヘッドの
間にはき出される様に所定の形状とすることにより空気
の流れ12が得られる。空気がコンビヘッド間にはき出
されることにより、最も磁性粉が付着しやすいコンビヘ
ッド間の磁性粉付着が最小限におさえることが可能と々
る。
