However, cement and casting were bulky, and glass wool had problems in terms of heat resistance. Furthermore, neither material has the same heat absorption ability as unfired ceramics.

である。(e) Function: Unfired powdered ceramic, which has a strong heat absorption ability during the firing process, is filled as a heat insulating filler into the hollow part of the double wall that makes up the outer wall, so the ceramic can be fired even under high heat. While it completely absorbs heat, it also has the effect of absorbing external shocks. Also, in terms of weight, it can be extremely lightweight compared to cement or casting.

Reference numeral 1 designates an outer wall of the safe made of steel plate or the like, in which a hollow portion 2 is formed to be filled with a heat insulating filler. As for ceramics, powders with a eutectic composite composition mainly composed of high-purity ultrapowder graphite, carbon compounds, nitrogen compounds, silicides, and other polymer compounds, called new ceramics, have excellent performance. This unfired material is filled into the hollow portion 2 as a filler 3. It goes without saying that conventional non-oxide ceramic materials or intermediate forms thereof may also be used.

Furthermore, the effect can be further enhanced by inserting a molded ceramic firing plate 4 into the hollow portion 2 together with a filler.

A safe that is completely heat-insulated, light in weight, and strong can be obtained.
