Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability by providing a talking circuit, a dial circuit and a control voltage generating circuit to a handset so as to generate a prescribed control voltage from a control voltage generating circuit thereby allowing the control voltage to apply on/off control to an accessory function circuit of a telephone set main body. CONSTITUTION:A telephone line is connected to the telephone set main body 11 and a handset 16 is connected by a cord 17. A talking circuit 18 connected to a transmitter 21 and a receiver 22, a dial circuit 19 and a control voltage generating circuit 20 are provided to the handset 16. When a hook switch FS connected to the circuit 20 is turned on, a prescribed voltage is outputted from the circuit 20 to activate the circuit 19. Further, a voltage discriminating circuit 14 in the main body 11 is operated at the same time, and when the switch S is turned on, a prescribed voltage from the circuit 20 brings the accessory function circuit 15 into the operating state. Then the telephone set is miniaturized and its operability is improved.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, when the hook switch Fs is turned on, the transistor TR is turned on, and a predetermined voltage is applied to the telephone call circuit 18 via the transistor TR2 and the hook switch Fs, so that the telephone call circuit 18 becomes operational. . In this state, the potential at the connection point between resistor R4 and diode D is relatively low, so both transistors TR3 and TR6 are in an off state. Therefore, the inputs of the NAND circuit 23 are both at the NO level and the bidirectional switch circuit 25 is in the OFF state. In this state, the transistor TI (, is in the off state,
Since the collector potential is at Vinebell, the transistors TR, , TR, are off, the transistor TR7 is off, and the speaker horn circuit 24 is also off.

Therefore, both inputs of the NAND circuit 23 become low level, a high level signal is applied to the bidirectional switch circuit 25, and the bidirectional switch circuit 25 is turned on. At the same time, transistor TR4 is turned on, transistors TR6 and TR are turned on, a predetermined voltage is applied to speaker horn circuit 24 through transistor TR, and speaker horn circuit 24 is brought into operation.
