Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a coreless motor of high efficiency and high power by effectively activating a coil end by the alteration of the shape of an armature coil and the addition of a sub magnet, thereby adding a torque in the novel effective coil unit. CONSTITUTION:The coils of a cup-shaped armature 1 are radially arranged on the bottom of the cup, formed in the shape connected with the outer periphery cylinder, and effective coils 1a, 1a' are formed at the cylinder and the cup bottom, respectively. A main magnet 2 is provided oppositely to the cylinder of the armature 1, and a sub magnet 2' is provided oppositely to the cup bottom of the armature 1. When a brush 6 is energized, the armature is rotated by the combination of a torque generated by the magnet 2 disposed radially with the coil 1a of the armature 1 and a torque generated at the magnet 2' disposed in a thrust direction to the coil 1a.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above configuration, the coil end portion 1b of the armature 1 becomes an ineffective coil portion that does not generate torque.
The higher the proportion occupied by this part, the lower the efficiency becomes, which is one of the major drawbacks to achieving high efficiency and high output.
