"Prior art and its problems" Conventionally, a coin depositing device in a coin depositing machine, coin depositing and dispensing machine, etc. has, for example, a coin supply mechanism that accepts a large number of deposited coins and delivers them one by one, and a coin supply mechanism that receives coins from the coin supply mechanism. a discrimination and counting section that performs discrimination and counting of the coins received, and a system that temporarily stores the coins sent out from the discrimination and counting section and performs discrimination after the discrimination and counting of all the coins received in the coin supply mechanism is completed. A storage/discharge mechanism is provided that selectively releases coins in bulk toward a storage section or a return section based on an instruction from an operator as to whether or not the transaction is approved based on the result. In coin depositing machines, it is desirable to classify and store deposited coins from the standpoint of post-processing, and in circulating coin depositing and dispensing machines, it is necessary to reuse deposited coins as disbursed coins, so it is desirable to The second section sends out the coins to be stored in the section again one by one and distributes and stores them by denomination.
We have developed a coin deposit device equipped with a coin supply mechanism and a deposit distribution path.

The discrimination and counting unit IO performs authenticity discrimination and counting by a known discrimination and counting mechanism 12 that uses a magnetic sensor, a photo sensor, etc. while rolling the coins along an inclined discrimination and counting path 11. Coins determined to be acceptable as a result of the discrimination are sent out from the tip of the discrimination counting path 11 (the right end in FIG. 1) to the temporary storage section 13. In addition, a reject gate 14 is provided in the middle of the discrimination counting path 11 to allow coins to be transferred to fall.
The reject gate 14 operates after a certain period of time (the time required for a coin passing through the discrimination and counting mechanism 12 to reach the reject gate 14) after the discrimination and counting mechanism 12 determines an abnormality, and rejects unacceptable coins. It has the ability to eliminate. Further, below the first coin supplying mechanism 8 and the discrimination and counting section 10, deformed coins, etc. that have been removed from the first coin supplying mechanism 8 or dropped from the discrimination and counting path 11 by the eject gate 14, etc. A tilted eject chute 16 is provided for guiding eject coins to a dispensing conveyance mechanism 15.

While the coin storage process is being carried out by the deposit distribution path 28 and the like, when deposited coins for the next transaction are inserted into the transaction port L, the deposited coins are processed by the discrimination and counting section 10 in the same manner as described above. It is counted differentially. In this case, the distribution discrimination mechanism 29
Since the coin deposited in the previous transaction is detected, the control mechanism closes the release gate 2 of the temporary storage section 13.

Then, during the coin identification and counting process for the next transaction described above, or before the coin identification and counting process for the next transaction is completed and an instruction is issued as to whether or not to approve the transaction, the distribution identification process is performed. When a coin is not detected in the mechanism 29 even after a certain period of time has elapsed, it is determined that there is no coin in the switching and discharging mechanism 21, and the switching and discharging mechanism 21 is stopped, and the control mechanism temporarily removes the coin from the storage section. 13 discharge gates 20 are opened and the coins are switched and dropped from the discharge port 19 onto the discharge mechanism 21. In this case, since the temporary storage section 13 has a chute configuration with the inclined plate 18 and the discharge gate 20, the coins can be switched and dropped onto the horizontal conveyance section 22 of the discharge mechanism 21 within a short fixed time of several seconds. . In this state, when the discrimination and counting process for the remaining coins is completed and an instruction is given as to whether or not to approve the transaction, the subsequent processing is performed. Since there is no coin in the second coin supply mechanism 24 when the coins are fed into the second coin supply mechanism 24, the second coin supply mechanism 24 is in a state where there are no coins.
According to the result of counting the deposited coins in step 2, the speed of the belt conveyor of the switching and discharging mechanism 21 is controlled by the control mechanism so that coins exceeding the allowable amount are not fed into the second coin supply mechanism 24. .

By the way, before the switching and discharging mechanism 21, the second coin supply mechanism 24, the deposit distribution path 28, etc. complete the deposit distribution process for the coins of the previous transaction, the coin discrimination and counting process for the next transaction is completed and the transaction is completed. When an approval instruction is given, the discharge gate 20 of the temporary storage section 13 is opened and coins for the next transaction are dropped onto the switching discharge mechanism 21 which is currently in the depositing and dispensing operation. In this case, the coins of the previous transaction and the coins of the next transaction will be mixed, but since the coins of both transactions are coins that have been approved for deposit, no equivalence problem will occur. In this state, since coins are stored in the second coin supply mechanism 24, each count value of the deposited coins counted by the discrimination and counting mechanism 12 in the previous transaction and the current transaction is the difference between the sum and the coin count detected by the distribution discrimination mechanism 29, that is, the quantity of coins already fed out from the second coin supply mechanism 24, the feeding speed of the switching discharge mechanism 21 set in the previous transaction, etc. According to
The number of coins in the second coin supply mechanism 24 is roughly detected, and the feeding speed of the belt conveyor is controlled by the control mechanism so that the number of coins in the second coin supply mechanism 24 does not exceed its allowable amount. things are done.

On the other hand, if the coin transaction is not approved for the next transaction, after detecting that there are no more coins on the switching and discharging mechanism 21 during the deposit distribution operation as described above, the switching and discharging mechanism 21 is moved in the reverse direction. At the same time, the discharge gate 20 of the temporary storage section 13 is opened and the temporary storage section 13 is returned to the transaction port 1.

Therefore, in such a coin depositing device, when the discharge gate 20 of the temporary storage section 13 is closed, the front and rear of the discharge gate 20, that is, the discrimination and counting section 12 and the switching discharge mechanism 21 are in a cutoff state. Therefore, when multiple deposit transactions are performed in succession, the deposited coins from new transactions are stored in the temporary storage section 13 while being differentially counted, and the newly deposited coins are subjected to differential counting processing. In parallel, in parallel, the coin in the previous transaction is switched and released mechanism 2
1, the coins can be discharged to the second coin supply mechanism 24 for storage processing.

In this case, when sending deposited coins from the switching discharge mechanism 21 to the second coin supply mechanism 24, the number of coins stored in the second coin supply mechanism 24 is set to be less than or equal to the allowable amount of the hopper. Since the feeding speed of the belt conveyor of the switching and discharging mechanism 21 is controlled by the control mechanism, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a coin clogging phenomenon in the second coin supply mechanism 24, and the second coin supply mechanism 2

Further, when it is determined that the coins from the previous transaction are no longer on the switching and discharging mechanism 21, the discharging gate 2° of the temporary storage section 13 is opened to allow the coins to pass through the discrimination and counting section IO under the control of the control mechanism. can be directly guided to the switching and discharging mechanism 21, and the transfer operation from the temporary storage part I3 to the switching and discharging mechanism 21 can be accelerated.

Furthermore, a switching discharge mechanism 21, a second coin supply mechanism 2
4 and the deposit distribution path 28 etc., even if it is determined that there are coins on the switching and discharging mechanism 21 while the coin deposit distribution process for the previous transaction is being executed, the next transaction When the coin identification and counting process is completed and the transaction is approved, the control mechanism controls the discharge port 19 of the temporary storage section 13 to open the coin dispensing mechanism 21 during the deposit distribution operation. Coins can be dropped in a transaction, and the waiting time until the coin deposit distribution process in the previous transaction is completed can be omitted. In this case, a large amount of coins will accumulate on the switching and discharging mechanism 21, but the control mechanism switches the second coin supplying mechanism 24 so that coins exceeding the allowable amount are not fed into the second coin supplying mechanism 24. The feeding speed of the ejecting mechanism 21 is controlled to prevent coin clogging and the like, and to ensure smooth processing.

The method (judgment criteria) for detecting the presence or absence of coins on the switching and discharging mechanism 21 by the control mechanism is that when a coin passing through the deposit distribution path 28 is not detected by the distribution discrimination mechanism 29 for a certain period of time, it is determined that the coin is missing. I was doing it, but
The number of coins to be deposited and distributed is already counted and stored by the discrimination and counting mechanism 12 for each denomination or the total number (or amount). It can be configured such that when the number (or amount) of deposited coins is confirmed by the distribution discrimination mechanism 29 of the deposit distribution path 28, it is determined that there are no coins on the switching and discharging mechanism 21. In addition, this count, the number of coins for each denomination or the total number (or amount) to be stored will be 1.0 when the coins in the next transaction are approved for deposit and are additionally inserted into the switching and discharging mechanism 21. It is clear that the determination process is performed by adding the number data (or amount data) regarding the additional input amount. In addition, in the control mechanism, the amount of coins in the second coin supply mechanism 24 was roughly determined based on the respective counts of the discrimination and counting mechanism 12 and the distribution discrimination mechanism 29, but the switching and discharging mechanism 21 and the second coin supply mechanism 24 to detect the amount of coins fed into the second coin supply mechanism 24.
It is also possible to accurately detect the amount of coins in the coin supply mechanism 24.
