本発明は、入金された硬貨を選別計数して収納するとともに、収納している硬貨を出金用として使用する還流型の硬貨入出金機に関する。

従来、銀行等の金融機関で用いられる硬貨入出金機として、例えば、特開平10−97667号公報に開示されたものがある。この種の硬貨入出金機は、入金硬貨が一括投入される硬貨投入部と、この硬貨投入部に投入された硬貨を一枚ずつに分離して繰り出し搬送する繰出搬送部と、この繰出搬送部上に設けられて硬貨の真偽および金種を識別する硬貨識別部と、硬貨識別部で識別された硬貨を金種別に振り分ける金種振分部と、金種振分部で振り分けられた硬貨をそれぞれ一時貯留させる金種別の一時貯留部と、これら金種別の一時貯留部に一時貯留された硬貨をそれぞれ収納可能であるとともにそれぞれが収納している硬貨を出金口に繰出可能な金種別の収納繰出部とを有するものである。

ところで、金融機関においては、通常、窓口取引終了後に、硬貨入出金機内の紙幣をすべて回収して、他の出納機等によって枚数を確認する一方、次の営業の前に、確定した枚数の硬貨を装填するようになっているが、硬貨入出金機内において全金種の硬貨を精査処理することで、確定した紙幣のみを次の営業に備えて機体内に残しておけば、上記作業の省力化を図ることができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このような精査処理を行うためには、金種別の収納繰出部のうち精査処理を実行するものから一旦すべての硬貨を繰り出さなければならず、繰り出した硬貨を一時貯留させるための専用のスペースを設けなければならないという問題があった。一方、銀行等の金融機関において、上記の硬貨入出金機を紙幣入出金機と一体に設ける要望があり、このように硬貨入出金機を紙幣入出金機と一体に設けると、当然のことながら全体の大きさが大きくなってしまうため、極力小型化を図る必要がある。また、従来通り卓上に置いて使用される硬貨入出金機においても、小型化の要望は大きい。このような小型化を図る上で、上記のようなスペースの追加は避けなければならない。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明の請求項1記載の硬貨入出金機は、入金された硬貨を金種別に振り分けてそれぞれ金種別の収納繰出部に収納するとともに、これら金種別の収納繰出部から収納している硬貨を出金用として繰り出すものであって、前記収納繰出部について、収納している硬貨をすべて一旦繰り出し当該収納繰出部以外の一時貯留場所に一時貯留させる一方、当該収納繰出部に収納すべき硬貨を戻すことにより収納枚数を確定させる精査処理を行う際に、精査処理前に認識していた収納枚数に応じて、前記一時貯留場所を変更することを特徴としている。

一時貯留部42は、硬貨識別部32で識別された硬貨のうち真硬貨を金種混合状態のまま一括して一時貯留させるもので、硬貨入出金部12のほぼ全高さ範囲に設けられており、しかも、硬貨入出金部12の前後方向に延在する形状をなしている。一時貯留部42は、前後方向および上下方向に沿い、しかも互いに左右方向に所定の間隔をあけて配置された一対の壁部43,43と、これら壁部43,43間に配置された部分が一時貯留部42の底部を形成する図3に示すコンベアタイプの搬送ベルト44と、壁部43,43間に配置された部分が一時貯留部42の前部を形成する入金ガイド壁部45とを有している。

オペレータにより入金させる硬貨が硬貨入金口17に投入され操作部14に「入金処理」の実行入力がなされると、図示せぬ制御部は、硬貨投入部30の回転円盤34、搬送ベルト38を駆動する。すると、回転円盤34から隙間規制部材37で一枚ずつに分離された硬貨を搬送ベルト38で搬送させることになり、その途中の硬貨識別部32の識別結果に基づいてリジェクト・一時貯留振分ゲート40で硬貨を振り分ける(図8に太線で示す入金処理ルート参照)。すなわち、識別不能硬貨を含む偽硬貨と識別された硬貨を、硬貨リジェクト口19へ落下させ、真硬貨と識別された硬貨を、一時貯留部42に落下させる。このとき、一時貯留部42においてはゲートストッパ51を閉状態とするとともに搬送ベルト44を駆動状態とし、さらに、ベルト叩き機構54のベルト叩きプッシャ55を往復動させる。これにより、一時貯留部42より下流側への硬貨の移動をゲートストッパ51で規制しつつ搬送ベルト44の駆動で入金ガイド壁部45側に硬貨が集中してしまうことを防止し、さらに、ベルト叩き機構54で硬貨が隙間規制ローラ47側に集中してしまうことを防止する。すなわち、硬貨を一時貯留部42で平均的に貯留させるのである。

上記した「入金処理」で入金確定操作が入力された場合、制御部は、出金側ゲート104を繰出口89から繰り出される硬貨を硬貨搬送路101に案内する状態とし、搬送ベルト44、搬送ベルト61、搬送ベルト71、搬送ベルト81および搬送ベルト100を駆動するとともに(搬送ベルト100は硬貨一括金庫23の方向に駆動する)、ゲートストッパ51を開状態とし、さらに、収納繰出部76A〜76Fのすべてのゲートストッパ91を閉状態とし、返却搬送路67のゲートストッパ91を開状態とする。そして、硬貨判別部63の判別結果に基づいて収納振分ゲート65の切り換えタイミングを適宜制御することで、一時貯留部42から繰り出される硬貨を振り分ける。すなわち、収納繰出部76A〜76Fに収納しない硬貨、例えば、収納繰出部76A〜76Fに収納しきれないオーバーフロー硬貨や新旧二種類が流通している場合における旧硬貨等は、返却搬送路67に落下させ、返却搬送路67から硬貨搬送路101を介して硬貨一括金庫23に収納する。一方、それ以外の硬貨は、金種振分部68に送り、分類孔72A〜72Fの対応するものから落下させる。これにより、一時貯留部42から繰り出された硬貨は金種別の収納繰出部76A〜76Fの対応する金種のものに収納される(図10に太線で示す収納処理ルート参照)。
