Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled paste consisting of the first component composed of hydroxyapatite, magnesium oxide and an X-ray contrasting material and the second component composed of guaiacol and eucalyptol and useful for the protection and remedy of the root apex lesion in dental treatment. CONSTITUTION:The titled two-pack type paste consists of (A) the first component composed of 40-60wt% (based on the whole weight of the first component) hydroxyapatite, 15-25% magnesium oxide and the remaining part of an X-ray contrasting material (e.g. barium sulfate, bismuth subcarbonate, silver powder, etc.) and (B) the second component composed of 35-60% (based on the whole weight of the second component) guaiacol and the remaining part of eucalyptol. The paste has excellent affinity to living tissue and low irritation to tissue, promotes the cure of the peripheral tissue of root apex and is expected to close the root apex. It is useful also as a restoration material of bone defect. The first component and the second component are kneaded at a rate of 4:1 in use.

は、満足できるものとは言えなかった。

のようなハイドロキシアパタイトの生体、特に歯髄及び
根端部周囲組織に及ぼす影響について種々研究を重ねた
結果、ハイドロキシアパタイトを主成分とした根管充填
材が臨床上適用価値の高いものであることを見出し、か
つ酸化マグネシウムを有効成分とし、これら番こX線造
影材を配合して成る第1材と、グアヤコールおよびユー
カリブト−pを主成分とする第2材から成る2材型根管
充填材を提供せんとするものである。
