Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve workability and cutting accuracy, by forming a combined pinion cutter coaxially combining two different cutting edge-shaped pinion cutters to be fitted and forming the cutter in a short length. CONSTITUTION:A combined pinion cutter is constituted of a standard pinion cutter 14 and a particular pinion cutter 17. The cutter 14, having standard involute tooth profiles 12, forms a cross-shaped recessed part 13 in the side part. The cutter 17, having particular tooth profiles 15, is combined with the cutter 14 by fitting the tooth profile 15 to the recessed part of the cutter 14.
