When manufacturing a Hikita shibori in which the shibori composition pattern 2 is dyed and wrinkles peculiar to the shibori are added between the head dyeing part 4 and the valley dyeing part 3 in each lattice, the process is as follows. It is being done. That is, first, the cloth 1 is folded into eight parts in each grid, centering on the part that will become the head dyeing part 4, and then the folded parts are tied with silk thread eight times, leaving the tip part (the part that will become the head dyeing part). A tightening process is performed in which the material is tightly tied around 10 times. Such a seaming process is performed mainly at the locations where a large number of head dyeing sections 4 will be formed.

問題点があった。Next, the cloth that has been subjected to the seaming process is dyed in a desired color, after which it is dried and the thread used for the seaming process is unraveled. By carrying out the above operations, the part of the cloth 1 where the silk thread is wound is resist-dyed and no dye is attached, while the tip of the winding is dyed and becomes the head-dyed part 4. The hem of the seam tightening (the valley between the many protrusions created by the seaming process) is also dyed, creating a rectangular valley dyeing part 3, resulting in a Hikita shibori with a pattern as shown in Figure 4. is completed. However, in the above-mentioned work, in order to ensure that the head guard 4 and the valley guard 3 are lined up in an orderly manner in the completed Hikita shibori, it is necessary to adjust the dimensions of the part to be tightened, the tightening force, and the tightening force. The number of wraps to be worked on must be appropriate for each tightening part, and since the above tightening is for the purpose of resist dyeing, the work must be done to prevent the dye from penetrating. It has to be solid, and the work requires a lot of effort and skill.
There was a problem in that extremely skilled workers were required to obtain a good quality product.

Next, in each of the many lattices on the fabric dyed with the Hikita-shibori composition pattern, the head section is picked up and a thread tightening process is performed between it and the valley section. The cloth that has been subjected to the seaming process is then wrinkled to complete Hikita Shibori.

In the dyed cloth 1, the part of the head guard 4 is picked up to form a protrusion 5, and a thread 6 is tightened between the head guard 4 and the valley guard 3 part. Since the purpose is only to add wrinkles like a squeeze cloth to 1, and not for resist dyeing, the above-mentioned seaming can be done using a simple method similar to the well-known horizontal drawing. In addition, it is sufficient to use a thick and easy-to-handle cotton thread as the thread 6 used for the winding, and simply wrap it around twice. After completing the above-mentioned seaming process, which is performed for each lattice in the Hikita Shibori composition pattern 2 between the head inspector 4 and the valley inspector 3, next the wrinkle forming process is performed. is processed. This work is performed by drying the cloth 1 that has been subjected to the seaming process to remove approximately 100% of its moisture.Such work can be done, for example, by putting the cloth 1 in a dryer and drying it at 100°C, for example. It is enough to dry for about 2 hours. By carrying out such operations, firm wrinkles are formed in the area where the seaming has been performed.Next, the thread 6 used for the seaming is loosened and the fabric is ironed to form a fourth layer. The Hikita shibori as shown in the figure is completed.

When applying the seaming process to the fabric, it is only necessary to perform the seaming process between the head inspector 4 and the valley inspector 3 to create wrinkles in the cloth 1 (there is no need to do it for the purpose of resist dyeing as in the past). In addition to using a simple method, a thick thread 6 is used for the winding, and only a small number of windings are required, making the work very easy even for unskilled workers. There are effects that can be done.

ある。Moreover, in the case of the finished product that has been subjected to the seaming process and the wrinkles are processed as described above, a perfect circular shibori pattern in which the Head Inspector 4 and Tani Inspector 3 are lined up in an orderly manner appears. Because each lattice in the pattern has wrinkles created by the seaming process, it is characterized by extremely precise and high quality Hikita shibori.
