Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the cutter knife replacing time thus to save the manpower by turning a side trimming machine to remove the scrap then stopping the line to rotate the turret thereafter setting a spare cutter knife to the cutting position. CONSTITUTION:The line speed VY is properly decelerated to control the horizon tal moving speed VX and the direction of the cutter knives 1, 1' accordingly. Consequently, the scrap 10a under trimming is cut from the strip 10 along a random setting curve 13a. The line is stopped near the point (a2) where the cutter knives 1, 1' will roughly finish the cutting of scrap 10a to set the spare cutter knives 101, 101' at the cutting position. Since side clipping work is not required, the replacing time is shortened to save the manpower.

トリツプ10から離脱させる場合、ライン速度vYY適
宜速度で減速すると共に、該ライン速度に対応してカッ
タナイフ1,1′の水平旋回方向とその速度W及び水平
移動の方向とその速度vxン適宜制御して、例えば第1
図の斜線部のような任意の設定曲線13αに沿って切断
を続行することにより、スクラップ10 (L ’jt
ストリップ10端部から切り取って、容易に離脱できる
