As one means for this purpose, as shown in FIG. 3, a core material 1 is made of Ti or a Ti alloy, and a material 2 having good corrosion resistance and brazing properties, such as a Ni alloy, an Au alloy, etc.
A method of cladding with platinum group alloy, stainless steel, etc. has been adopted.

Since a very brittle intermetallic compound 6 such as Ti--Ni5 Tl--Au is formed at the interface with the metal, there is a fatal drawback that the intermetallic compound 6 peels off from the layer after brazing.

(Structure of the Invention) As shown in FIG. 1, the composite material for decorative articles of the present invention consists of Ti or Ti alloy l plated with Ag or Sn, and on the outside thereof 5 to 50% by weight of Cu and Sn0. .01~10
% by weight of Ag alloy is clad as the intermediate layer 7,
The outer side of the intermediate layer 7 is clad with a material 2 having good corrosion resistance and excellent brazing properties, such as a Ni alloy, an Au alloy, a platinum group alloy, or stainless steel.

The reason why an Ag alloy was used as the intermediate layer here is that Ag relieves thermal strain during brazing.

Furthermore, Cu is added to Ti or corrosion-resistant material and Cu.
This is because Cu-Ti is not brittle and peeling after brazing can be prevented.

The Cu content is limited to 2.5 to 50% by weight, which is 2.5% by weight.
If it is less than 50% by weight, it is not sufficient for Cu to bond preferentially to form a Cu-Ti layer, and if it exceeds 50% by weight, the Ag layer as a thermal relaxation material will decrease and peeling will occur due to thermal strain.

The reason why Sn is further added is to prevent abnormal growth of the Cu-'["i layer and prevent peeling if the brazing temperature is raised too high. This is because Ti and Sn
binds preferentially to form a solid solution of 5n-Ti,
This is because this alloy is not brittle even when it grows. The reason why the amount of Sn is limited to 0.01 to 10% by weight is that if it is less than o or oi% by weight, there is no effect, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, it becomes difficult to process.

Furthermore, the reason for using Ti or Ti alloy plated with Ag or Sn is to prevent oxidation of Ti during the manufacturing process of the composite material and to obtain a composite material with high bonding strength.

However, when the test pieces of Example 1.2 and the conventional example were subjected to a tensile test, the results shown in the table below were obtained. Pillar phase valve *Number of test pieces: 5 As is clear from the table above, the test piece of Example 1.2 has significantly higher breaking strength and bonding strength than the conventional test piece. In addition, in the test piece of the conventional example, the joint surface between the core material 1 and the outer material 2 was a fracture surface, whereas in the test piece of the example, the base material was a fracture surface, and the joint surface between the core material 1 and the outer material 2 was a fracture surface. It can be seen that the bonding strength is high.
